It's difficult to add anything new to what's already been said before. Fantastic location for walking, visiting Haworth (and other local towns) or just relaxing and enjoying the views. Ponden has a lovely homely feel to it, and Brenda looks after you in grand style. (Fresh coffee n biccies by the log fire was a real treat) Breakfast was superb... More

What a beautiful place to spend a holiday or break. This place is a piece of heaven. It is located in a picturesque spot on the Penine Way which is perfect for walkers. The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. There is a welcoming hot tub for guest to use, mmm bliss! Brenda the proprietor is a fantastic cook. I... More

This is a little Gem of a place. Excellent if you love peace and quiet, walking, or for Bronte enthusiasts. Lovely location, very warm welcome. In fact a home from home. Brenda is a lovely lady who really looks after you. Her breakfasts are a delight. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Comfortable lounge with rocking chair and log... More

The first time we met Brenda (august 1993) was when walking the Pennine Way. We intended to camp at Brenda's and all rooms were occupied. But because of the poor weather we were offered a sleeping place in the barn. This was still at Ponden Hall with the large table were all guests had dinner at the same time. We... More

Another perfect weekend with the wonderfully warm and charismatic Brenda. Her home is beautifully decorated, cosy and comfortable with lots of really interesting trinkets, paintings, books, all of which she will happily talk to you about. Brenda is an exceptional cook - her food is sublime and plentiful. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced and every meal she prepares... More

My (new) husband and I stayed here for two nights after our wedding, choosing Ponden House for its tranquility and good walks. At the time (March) the moors were atmospheric, misty and quiet, and we were the only people staying at the house. Brenda's house is beautiful, cosy and full of stunning art, interesting books, and the rooms are beautifully... More

The rooms are almost heavenly after a long day on the Pennine Way! Nice wooden floors and simply but rustically and elegantly laid out rooms, with even a cool rooftop window above one of the beds. The walls are artfully decorated with paintings and portraits, and the sitting room is a cosy place to have tea which was much welcome... More

I and two friends had a wonderful time recently in Ponden House. Brenda 's home really feels as though you've just walked into a friend's house for the weekend and her cooking cannot be too highly recommended. The proximity of the moors and Haworth make this a great place to stay - plenty to do and see. Even a bracing... More

We had a great time staying here! We were greeted with tea/coffee and pancakes, which we really appreciated after 7 hours of walking on the Pennine Way in poor conditions. We also got a 3 course dinner later, which was delicious, as was the extensive breakfast the next morning. The packed lunch was sumptious, we had to leave some of... More
