Stayed Saturday night. All staff at hotel excellent. Food in the bar was very good and breakfast faultless. Room (no. 7) was small but cosy. Hotel situated at the top of the main tourist street. Enjoyed browsing the little shops and sampling the beer at the numerous pubs. Handy car park at rear of the hotel. Second visit and we... More

Arrived late in the middle of a busy July with no booking! Rebecca found us a delightful room with fabulous views across the Moors. We checked in, popped to the bar to order supper and by the time we'd taken cases to the room etc the meal was ready for us! The food was good and the staff were all... More

Very friendly staff make for an enjoyable short stay. Clean and comfortable rooms but ours was a bit on the small side. However it did have a great view down the valley. Food in the bar was average but the separate restaurant in the hotel was very good. We had breakfast in the latter and ate there both evenings of our... More

Accommodation was clean & comfortable & the view was nice. Food & service were also excellent. The hotel is at the top of main Street so can walk out of the door to the moors without climbing any hills, or straight down to shops, cafes, bars etc. Highly recommended. Both bar & restaurant serve excellent food & there are special... More

We had our wedding reception here on 19th July 2014 and the staff really couldn't do enough for us. They made us feel extra special and more than welcome in their lovely hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, I can't recommend the place highly enough. The service is excellent, the team are warm and friendly and the food is fabulous.... More

Just back from a 3 day week end break in Haworth staying at the Old White Lion Hotel. My wife and I had a great time; all the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We were allocated room 11, although not the largest of rooms, it was well presented and very comfortable with great views across the valley.... More

We went in for food and both decided on the game pie. When it arrived a separate dish of vegetables were put on the table which weren't even enough for one person never mind two. I asked if we were getting another and was told they were for two people. When eating the pie the potatoes on top were hard... More

Absolutely nothing to fault with this gorgeous little hotel set right in the centre of Haworth. Friendly welcoming staff, great pub with even greater pub food. Spotlessly clean comfortable rooms, with views over the valley to die for! Breakfast was perfect, great friendly service, and beautifully presented food. I know there are many hotels/pubs in Haworth, however for real value... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The 300 year old facade of this former coaching inn hides the fact this family run hotel combines charming olde world features with thoroughly modern facilities. Situated at the top of the famous cobbled street, walked by the Revd. Patrick Bronte and his famous family. In more recent times as illustrated on TV in Hovis advertisements. This is very much an establishment where food and drink are taken seriously, and dispensed along with hospitality in good measure. Warmth, comfort and a relaxed atmosphere prevail throughout the 14 en-suite bedrooms, beamed bars, restaurant and oak paneled lounge.Freshly prepared food is provided by the highly qualified chefs. Keeping up with modern trends, without ignoring the popularity of old favourites. Featured in major food guides the Gimmerton restaurant is open every evening. An extensive range of reasonably priced bar meals being available in the cosy bars, where real ales are prominent. Exceptional value breaks available both mid-week as well as weekends throughout the year. ... more   less
