The restaurant has some of the original features retained i.e open fireplaces, and beams. The food was nice and served piping hot, if maybe a bit pricey for what it was. The young waitress was polite and attentive despite being very busy. Worth a visit if you are staying locally though

The staff were helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived,the break-fast and evening meals were excellent,good selection of real-ales on draught and some good malt whiskies,no complaints at all.

Was very impressed by the staff, the food was great value but the best part was just relaxing with a drink in front of the open fire and soaking up the very friendly atmosphere. Will be going back again and again

Amazing food and service. Lovely environment with open fires. Unfortunately when we came to pay card payment did not function on 2 occasions, so we paid cash. Now we are home we have ended up paying twice for the meal and need to contact the Old Hall to rectify. Just unwanted hassle we could do with out.
