The bedrooms are very large but the tv in mine was temperamental, the decor in the hotel is dated but the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel has a spa which is free for hotel guests but unfortunately they decided to clean out the Jacuzzi on Sunday morning and when my wife and I went down to use... More

Pros: good prices, generally very pleasant spa facilities, large rooms, comfortable beds, good proximity to Ilkley Moor etc and friendly staff. Cons: the mens' showers in the spa smelt strongly of urine, the wireless was undetectable in room 306, the breakfast was continental only/fairly minimal, the decor was dated and there was an extremely thin door between rooms 304 and... Friendly staff, a decent pool, gym, sauna and steam room (free for guests), large bedrooms although the decoration is a little tired. The breakfast (continental) was sufficient and plenty of parking even when full. The only downside was that the bed was broken and we had to move rooms twice (the replacement room only had a double bed instead of... More

I stay at a lot of different hotels during the course of the year and although most give a friendly welcome, you sometimes get the impression that it's in their job description so they have to do it but the impression I got at The Highfield was that the staff really enjoy working there and this relaxed atmosphere rubs off... Stayed her with husband and 8 year old son as a last minute booking. Closed to the pretty town of Haworth, just on the edge of Bradford. Very large room with 2 great beds. Friendly check in, efficient and pleasant young lady on reception. Nice warm pool and leisure facilities. The Moo restaurant next door serves nice food with friendly... More

Our stay was made very welcoming. The rooms were basic but clean and spacious, and very reasonably priced. Bed was so comfy and huge !. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks to all. Mick & Jane Clough.

Difference between chain and family run hotels is the uniqueness with family owned places offering more comfort and treat you better not just like a number like a chain of hotels identical rooms. Nice friendly service and large clean rooms

Stayed at this hotel for one night before flying from Leeds Bradford. Got a lovely welcome from receptionist and showed to a very large downstairs room with windows all down one side overlooking secluded track area with trees which was lovely. Apparently being landscaped so might not be so private when finished. Room was great with en-suite facilities, shower very... More

Stayed for 2 nights. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and check in was quick and painless. Shown to our room, which was huge, basically furnished but clean and probably the biggest room we have stayed at in the UK. True the room was basic but the bed was comfortable, and the room clean and tidy. Breakfast was Continental style... More
