We got a Hilton special offer so room (with breakfast) was good value. We upgraded to better room but actually probably not worth paying more for the few extras you get. Although I can understand the negative press about the lack of investment in the Hotel, I do think the helpfulness of the staff outweighs any dissapointing surroundings. Having booked the hotel before reading the reviews we were more that a little aprehensive about our weekend away and even considered cancelling. Thank goodness we didn't. Went here expecting an awful stay (having read other reviews on this site) and was pleasantly suprised. Checked in too early 1:30 instead of 3:00, but it wasn't a problem. Located on the fourth floor. Room was clean, bright, and furnished well. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with good veggie choice. A great stay for us! more
