First and foremost the hosts make you feel very welcome and are superb with recommendations around things to do and see in the local area. They know most of the local restaurants and we enjoyed eating at the ones they recommended. The best one being the Lamb Inn at Pagham especially if you like fish. We stayed in their smallest... more

We stayed here due to attending a wedding nearby. We were allowed to check in early due to having to change for the wedding. We were given a lovely welcome plus a pot of tea even though there were refreshments in the room. We were offered the chance to leave our car at the party and they would take us... more

We have just returned from a week's break at Old Chapel Forge, having had a "taster" weekend back in November 2008. To us this is the ultimate place to escape to the country and recharge the batteries. From the outset our hosts made us very welcome, and their knowledge of the local area is superb. No matter what your taste... more

I stayed at the Old Chapel Forge for 4 nights during one of the coldest weeks of the year. Whilst it was freezing outside the room was warm and welcoming, comfortable and very clean. Excellent location for a winter break. The owner works hard to make sure her guests feel well looked after. more

I booked a Suite with Old Chapel Forge due to everything I read about it online. This place is perfect. The room I stayed in was fantastic, big room, high ceilings, and most importantly, I felt more comfortable there than I do in my own home. The breakfast was all locally sourced, and the portions were more than ample. I... more

We stayed for two nights at this delightful Bed and Breakfast after doing some simple background research into places to stay. From the off, the service was impeccable - the inital welcoming, descriptive phone conversation followed up by a confirmatory detailed email which included many places to see, options of where to walk the dog and reccommended restaurants and pubs.... more

This was a lovely experience, the welcome was excellent and the room lived up to the description on the web site, something not always found. The room was clean and provided all the amenities that we needed, the bed was comfortable and the ensuite facilities were very good, well stocked with soaps, creams and shower gels, more important it was... more

Overall we had an enjoyable stay and we like the idea of how they are going about being a green B& B, however we believe that it is essential to get 2 things right, (and this was not achieved) when staying in hotel, b&b etc. One, the bed has to be comfortable - my husband had to dodge the springs... more

We stayed at the Old Chapel Forge with our two sons, 22 months and 3 months, and stayed in the "Cottage" (more of an annex to the main house), a private area with two en-suite rooms. The rooms themselves were spacious, superbly presented, with thoughtful touches like kids' bath soaps and an X-box (for the parents...) The hosts are very... more

The B&B was great - warm and clean, but the best bit were the hosts who looked after us a treat and went well beyond the call of duty to care for us. Breakfasts, for example, were fabulous, and restaurant and activity recomendations for each day and mealtimes helped make the weekend just lovely. Its also a very green B&B,... more
