Stayed here just after new year, we come to see friends who live in fishbourne, so thought we would stay 1 night, we had a very friendly greeting, the rooms are seperate to the pub, very cosy and warm, the breakfast in the morning is something else, fantastic home cooked food served buffet style. A very reasonable priced place ,will... More

This is a pub with rooms in an annexe. The room we had was plain, simple but en-suite with TV, tea making, hairdryer, towels and lashings of hot water. Only down side was the duvet was a bit thin for December. The pub was popular with the locals (pool, darts, TV etc off to one side) and was busy with... More

I am surprised at some of the reviews of this place - it isn't advertised as the Hilton and we have had a perfectly good stay. The location is really good - in the village of Fishbourne about ten mins drive (we were told 45 mins walk but never tried it!) from Chichester theatre and shops. It's a pub with... More

A group of 6 of us stayed at The Woolpack when visiting the area for a christening. Looking at reviews it wouldn't have been our first choice but as most hotels were fully booked, we thought, how bad could it be? It was horrific! We booked 3 rooms at £75 each. The whole block of rooms smelt of damp and... More

I booked a twin room for one night, we were caught in traffic so rang ahead to ask if they could feed us if we arrived after 8pm, apparently the kitchen closes a 8pm ( on a Friday night) so no could do! However when we arrived at 8.30 they had left the carvery out for us and we had... More

OMG. Wanted to dine that first evening, no menu, i could have Gammon steak or rump steak. Stayed two nights. The room smelt of damp, curtains were faded, bed, well i might as well of slept on the floor, lining old and faded. The bathroom flooded, toilet didn't flush properly, paper bath mat, no soap, etc etc. I was woken... More

Just stayed during the Goodwood. Revival. It's unbelievable that an establishment such as this lifts it's prices to £253.00 A NIGHT, YES £253.00 A NIGHT, when normally it charges £75.00 The room was very basic and smelt of damp as did the towels. Curtains were pathetic in that they did nothing to shelter the light. Window handle was hanging off.... More

Booked the night before Goodwood revival so clearly all hotels would be expensive in the area, but £150 for two people for one night for the quality of the room and experience was bad. The room was, being generous, "basic". Reminding us of a prison cell architecture. Walls so thin I was woken during the night by someone else snoring!... More

Arrived on Friday afternoon. The Pub looked wonderful from the outside – flower baskets everywhere full of colour, vibrant and welcoming. Arriving inside the pub it looked good if a little warn at the edges. Was shown accommodation which was directly next to the pub in a little annexe. As I’d booked 2 double rooms as my parents were with... More

One night of hell.. Thursday night is Quiznight apparently , so you have a very limited choice of food, good value at £10.00 including a starter or dessert and a drink, but food was poor.. bed was like sleeping on the floor, in fact floor would have been more comfortable...pulled bed out to retrieve dropped phone and found a used...
