We made a beeline for the George and Dragon as we'd stopped at The Dean, the sister pub, on our way down to Chichester to book tickets for the Theatre once before, and it certainly looked promising, but it was just a tad too far out if one got delayed, so The George was a natural choice, being just across... Arrival rather brusque but appreciate guy was on own in bar. Breakfast was very good though tables and chairs felt a wee bit greasy. The disaster was the bed which was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. I see the manager writes he has recently bought new mattresses and this one was indeed thick but you could feel... We were looking for somewhere to eat around 5:30 on a Saturday before the theatre. The place looked fine from the outside and menu was appealing. When we got inside the chairs were ripped and generally the place had a run down air about it. We decided to sit outside in the garden, again could do with a tidy up,... More

For our annual trip down to Chichester and Brighton, we opted to stay in Chichester itself on this occasion, but as anyone who has looked for a hotel in the area during the summer months will know, options are somewhat limited, and very expensive! The George and Dragon had reasonable reviews and at around £100/night, wasn't astronomically expensive either, so... More

Booked a room for relatives, they loved it. The food is fabulous as pub food go and has become our favourite local. The hotel does overlook the beer garden so dont expect an early, quiet night in the summer.

This is a good alternative if you're staying in Chichester. It is a decent B&B / Hotel with good rooms which are secluded in an annex at the back. Breakfast is included and very good. I stayed here for one night and got the single occupancy rate of £65 - much appreciated. If I might include two negatives - there's... More

Stayed this weekend for two nights Good clean rooms everything works, Great location for Chichester centre with theatre car park 2 minutes away Best thing about our stay was the staff. Particularly the bar manager a lady named Sam So good at her job, when asked on Sunday at breakfast about evening meals she informed us that unfortunately they finish... More

Stayed in Room number 1. Well at least after 45 minutes of arguing with the staff because the room was booked by the company and they had asked for the payment to be taken from the company card it was booked on(this was done days in advance but the staff only addressed it after i had driven 4 hours to... I have looked into what you have suggested. This is NOT a true account of what happened your company booked a room with a third party website (Laterooms) which Do Not take the payment on booking, payment is taken on check in at the venue (which your office would have been notified whilst booking by Laterooms). You would have also... More

We stayed here for one night following a trip to the theatre which is, literally, just a stone's throw away. The room was fine and generally well equipped with a good sized TV but, as others have said, some of the furniture is a bit tired and could do with replacing. As some others have also said, the curtains are... More

Food below average for the price. Service haphazard. very slow . How can any reputable restaurant run out of ketchup on a Saturday lunchtime with a Tescos less than 200 yards away.Would not recommend.
