I will caveat this review by saying I only spent about 8 hours in the room so I cannot give a full appraisal. I arrived at 11pm and left at 7am, the room (Room 1) was nicely furnished albeit small. The bed was quite comfortable although very hard. It was in a good location in Chichester so convenient for the... More

We popped in for a drink and decided to stop for a quick meal before going to the theatre. We ate in the conservatory at the back of the pub which looked out on to a beer garden/patio area. I had salmon on a bed of broad beans and samphire with new potatoes and my husband had a pea and... More

Mattress so thin all you can feel are the springs.terrible nights sleep which is such a shame as the pub is in a good location, with excellent staff and a fabulous breakfast.room and bathroom a bit shabby.feel that it was overpriced.

Thank you for your review we do listen and use reviews to make the business better. On bringing the mattress in your room to our attention i have had all the mattresses changed and upgraded. A schedule of works is in place to redecorate all our rooms. Im glad you enjoyed our great central city location, fabulous food and that... More

We stayed in here for one night on Easter Sunday and generally found the place pretty accommodating and friendly enough. On arriving we were greeted by an affable young lad who was rushed off his feet but found enough time to give us a good idea of what to...if I was to be a tiny critical, he was a bit... More

This pub/hotel is in a great location, just 2 minutes into the centre of the city. The staff were lively and very helpful and good customer service. Surprisingly quiet for a pub. The only downfall, in my opinion was that it was a little expensive £100 per night for what it is. The room needed some TLC. The shower door... More

3rd time I've stayed here and have never been disappointed. Rooms are nice, well decorated with flat screen TVs and tea & coffee making. Beds comfortable and shower has good water pressure. Staff very friendly and great breakfast included. Location fantastic, very easy stroll to centre and wall walk just opposite. One downside is that in summer the beer garden... More

Stayed here for the Goodwood Members Meeting in March 2015 and the staff were very friendly - showed us politely up to the room and explained everything. We were lucky to get a room for this event weekend and although they only had a twin room available it was clean and plenty of tea and coffee. Towels all neatly folded... More

Stayed here for a theatre trip; had lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast. Service was friendly and the food at dinner was superb and the cooked breakfast was good but the buffet was limited and the coffee had been made in advance and was keeping warm in a jug. The rooms were on the small side and a bit dark, although... More

I was born in Chichester, well, 45 years ago now. Chichester has changed a lot in the 20 years I have lived abroad and, as far as I can see, it is all for the better. I like staying at the George and Dragon because it is very convenient for downtown Chichester. It is wonderful to be able to get... More

Simply had to return to the George for a home-from-home Christmas treat welcome & once again never disappointing :-D Cosy, comfy rooms (one upstairs & one down) with everything we needed. Beautiful log fires, excellent restaurant, best breakfast ever tasted - no word of a lie. Superb & soooo central for the sales! Looking forward to our next visit already... More
