Visited on Saturday evening early before going to CFT. Staff were polite however the menu was not even close to the sample menu from the website, only had 1 "Burger of the day" and one Thai Green Curry which contained courgettes and sugar-snap peas which I have never seen in any Thai food before. Notwithstanding the authenticity issue which could... More

Stayed Christmas week at the George & Dragon and could not have enjoyed it more or have been made to feel more welcome. Facilities great, food great, conveniently placed - couldn't be better! Sincere thanks to everyone @ the G & D for a most enjoyable stay.

We have stayed at The George and Dragon many times and it is a perfect location for shopping, eating and seeing the sights. All the staff are very friendly and approachable. The rooms are a good size with tea/coffee making facilities - with biscuits! Good products supplied in bathroom along with fluffy towels. Our only gripe is that the shower... More

It's quite a nice old pub on the High Street, the refurbished stable cottages were very pleasant to stay between forays to the Festival Theatre, only 3 minutes' walk away, BUT : the cottages are reached by wooden duckboards, which are dangerously slippery , even when not raining. I came a cropper and my theatre experience was marred all day... More

Good food, reasonable prices and great service. What more can you ask for when ten of you are dining for Sunday lunch. We were seated in the conservatory are at the rear which makes it feel very spacious.

Accommodation in the former stables at the back of the beer garden, which can mean it´s noisy up to pub closing time. Room is advertised as luxurious, which it isn´t according to us. Bathroom small and basic. Wifi through the Cloud. Friendly receptionist (basically bar staff) who wasn´t knowledgeable about parking arrangements during the bank holiday weekend, but could indicate... More

I've stayed here a few times now for business and each time I come away disappointed and tired from not sleeping well. The rooms are located at the back of the pub in the garden area. Although the rooms look nice, on closer inspection there are many things wrong. The rooms can get quite hot and if you open the... More

Very pleasant and friendly pub and hotel; many original features and the rooms were clean and modern; shower was excellent. Ideal for a weekend or a few nights to explore the area. We used it to go to Chichester theatre. Extremely convenient. Theatre 5 mins away.
