Recently stopped at the Nags Head with a few friends for a Christmas drink. Although very busy the bar staff were very friendly, particularly Maria who did very well in covering the bar in a busy period of the year. Lots of people enjoying the carvery, which I would highly recommend.

Needed to stay overnight to attend opening of exhibition at Pallant House Gallery, (which was excellent and worth a visit any time!). Good rate for room, efficient and professional reception, even though bar busy when I arrived. My room was very nice, tasteful and immaculately clean. Breakfast next morning was very good with large choice of pretty much everything and... More

A group of us met up for a lunchtime celebration on Saturday 6th December. It could have been memorable for all sorts of reasons but unfortunately for us it was the dreadful service. It was busy but I think it was a lack of staff that was the main problem. It was a pity as the food was good. The... More

On regular visits to the nags head staff behind the bar are always cheerful, but the one who makes the day is Maria, she is always happy knows what you drink and very good at her job the restaurant also has a excellent choice of menu not to mention the carvery, 10 out of 10!

Excellent lunch - good started and good choice on the carvery. Real home cooking. Staff made special efforts to provide Christmas pudding and cream and brandy butter which wasn't on the dessert menu. Good friendly service. They took good care of my nephew with fish and chips.

Couldn't recommend the Nags Head enough! All the staff are brilliant, especially a lovely young man called Sam. This wonderful barman catered to our every need, providing entertainment and delightful conversation and thoroughly made our evening one of the best we've had. We will definitely be heading back for a pint very soon!

I really enjoyed going to the Nags Head to watch the rugby and football. The bar staff always had a smile and happy to help, especially Maria, who made the evening much more enjoyable. The food was tasty and served quickly even though the place was busy.
