At last, we've found our perfect weekend hideaway. Its website tells no lies: the welcome was warm, the room spacious, double-aspect, distreetly decorated and furnished (and fairly recently) and even traipsing to the separate (though private) bathroom was fine. We've stayed at Spire Cottage several times now (pretty much every special occasion warrants a trip there!) and absolutely adore it. Jan is lovely and cooks a very good breakfast (choice of Smoked Salmon, Full English, or Continental... all included in the price), she always makes us feel very welcome and ensures that we have everything we need.
