There are a lot of conflicting reviews for this hotel, hopefully this will help clear things up... We booked into this hotel for one night, as we were flying from Gatwick early the following morning. Booked on a late rooms website, I got a double for around £40. If I had paid the rack rate my review would be different,... More

a clean hotel which is very busy with coaches day and night, because of its location to gatwick airport the hotel is a must for a short stay over linking for the airport. food is typical standard for this kind of budget hotel, service is efficient and the rooms are basic but comfortable. free wiifi in reception, the hotel has... Having stayed at several hotels around Gatwick before and after holidays we were dismayed to find that the Britannia Lodge runs its shuttle service on a rigid schedule, unlike the last hotel we stayed at that send a shuttle promptly for us as soon as we arrived at the airport. Thus, having arrived back at Gatwick in sub-zero temperatures at... More

The website definatley does not portray the correct findings of the hotel. It is used as a stop over for ground workers etc so there is mud and dirt everywhere. Serious dirt! The lift was disgusting and journey to the room got worse. The room was disgraceful, I wouldn't of washed my dog in the bath. Filthy and tired looking.... More

We booked this hotel as a last minute deal and read the reviews but didn't care too much as we only wanted to rest our heads for a few hours and the reviews I read said in need of a refurb but clean. It was a little like visiting faulty towers. Staff were around but ignored the fact that we... More

I was on a National Holidays coach trip which used this lovely hotel for a three night stay. Wether you want an early flight to Japan or whatever this is the place. Eight minutes from Gatwick, there is an hourly transfer bus from the front of the hotel. The room was excellent, though I did not care for the picture of... More

I arrived in the early hours of the morning only to discover there was a nice walk in the dark to the block behind the main hotel where the Lodge was located. As soon as I opened the door the smell of stale cigarette smoke greeted me. I then had to drag my case up a filthy staircase and struggle... More

We booked for one night as we were returning from holidays too late to travel. I booked the hotel, best room available deal but was put in the lodge. Stains on the wall (questionable origin) stain on the carpet looked like blood, ripped sheet. Reception didn't give us the smoking room requested, and its hard to get a smoking room... More
