Twice now we have been and had a meal and the service is appalling! Our valentines night meal was spoilt by slow service and loud dance music. My daughters 18th was spoilt by cold food coming out and again a slow service.....I asked to have a word with the manager but surprisingly he wasn't there that day so had to... More

Yes, the hotel is 'under construction' so the exterior is a lot of rubble and mess, but the staff were polite, the rooms were clean and the food was spot on. You get what you pay for. Even if I wasn't staying there I would probably go for something to eat. The only problem I had was only two plug... More

Booked one night here as it was close to a conference venue and the rate was good with "breakfast included". Had to drive around through a construction area to park my car behind the hotel and then walk back through the same unlit area over rubble/gravel. Thanks to a near full moon and clear skies, I could manage to see... More

We took my daughter and rest of family for Sunday lunch on my daughter's 21st Birthday. It was terrible. There was only us there originally (8 people) and it took over an hour to get the first course alone. The prawn cocktail was not a correct prawn cocktail and was served with a slice of dry toast. There was no... More

Booked a room for two nights for myself and my wife, and another room for a colleague joining us on the second day. The place is horrible - a building site. Having survived the rubble strewn journey from the car park we entered a dingy reception, where a surly youth tried to overcharge us. One look at the cleanliness of... More

Sad to see such a shabby unkempt hotel, with which a little effort could be improved dramatically! After being moved to a better room that actually locked from the inside, we found the room to be small but reasonably clean. Not impressed and would rather pay more for much better value.

I found this hotel was very friendly the staff were excellent the room was nice and clean with a lovely white bath sheet in the bathroom and there was a very good bar area with a great atmosphere and the two girls behind the bar were so polite and friendly I felt most welcome.
