Had two double rooms for one night, bedding and towels were very clean, you can tell this was once a very upper class hotel, rooms do seem to be lacking a little TLC now but over all acceptable stay. The lady on reception was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful but very busy! The breakfast was good, self service... More

I visited this once beautiful hotel for the first time in 30 years last week, and couldn't believe what a tatty and tired place it had become. I last came here in 1984 when it was run by a private hotelier, Fred Kilpatrick, who epitomised what a hotel was and how it should be run. The food then was a... More

We were booked into the Hotel for 2nights as we were having a Regimental Association do on the Saturday night. Found the check in very quick and easy. Only surprise was a two and a half percent charge for using a credit card to pay, so we used our debit card which did not have a charge. To get to... More

Do not be misled by the pictures on the website, this is an old fashioned run down dire hotel, which imo is in need of bulldozing!!! On arrival I was asked for full payment for the room upfront - unusual, but I had no reason to doubt why - how wrong I was............. I then asked the receptionist for a... More

Stayed overnight in this hotel as my friends were holding their reception party here. On arrival my immediate reaction was ' wow ' it looks stunning, and the bride is not even here yet! Had a very slight hiccup with rooms due to my own fault, but was dealt with efficiency & care. The Manager Andreana, an absolutely beautiful woman... More

Went here for a weeding last week and yes I had a great time with friends. But this is a review of the hotel not how great my friends wedding was! So what is wrong with the hotel - EVERYTHING:- 1) This is clearly a venue for weddings that has some rooms. And not a hotel first and wedding venue... More

Lovely hotel, staff can't do enough for you and so friendly. Lovely to either have as a wedding venue or just for a nice weekend. In a lovely old village. Have spent a lot of money on the hotel. 2 weddings on which were fascinating!
