We decided to go for a night's DBB + a bottle of white wine for £50 which, for two, was good value but even better value with a kids go free policy (we took two). This hotel is part of the Brittania chain which are all a bit dated and needing of a bit of an overhaul. Our room was... More

I have stayed in many hotels over many years. This is the worst. Yes I went on a cheap National Holiday and did not expect a great deal, but this hotel is below even my poorest expectations. The food is a disgrace. I booked as a vegetarian, as is my right. If they cant cater for vegetarians then they should... More

My Mum and Dad have just spent a weekend at this hotel and they could not fault the room. It was clean and it had everything in there that they could wish for. However, the food was absolutely awful. They were there for the weekend on a lovely coach trip and on entering the dining room they were segregated from... More

Must people are overracting about this Hotel. We went on a national Holiday Trip and thought the Hotel was good value for money. The hotel does need a Refurbishment and im sure it will happen but the room wasnt dirty. The food is good and if you paid i think it was £9.00 for a three course meal. You get... More

The building is very dated but we only booked the night before and we had a good experience. Receptionist was very helpful. Room clean with good facilities. The evening meal was very good value and piping hot. Breakfast had a good variety and was plentiful. More

The whole hotel was well below standard expected of a budget hotel. The exterior was uninviting, inside was dated, smelly and dirty. I appreciate it was cheap, but the food was just vile, my mum said 'worst tea ever'. The staff were polite enough, but not very efficient or professional and very scruffy in appearance. Would not stay here again,... More

Hotel is dated dirty and needs a complete make over. But is cheap. Some staff ok but most don't have a clue.. Wanted to charge £2 card fee to use a debit card that is not. On. More

Used this hotel to get some sleep before an early flight to Dublin. The outside looks like a Soviet Bloc apartment building, and the lobby wasn't much better, but the women at the front desk was very friendly and the room was huge compared to most UK rooms. We did use the restaurant because we were starving, but I would... More

Taken here by National Holidays. Where do I start? Paint peeling on exterior. Gloomy public rooms. Corridor carpets dirty and badly stained. Our room - wallpaper peeling from wall, rusty shower rail, scratched and battered furniture - I could go on. Food absolutely disgusting. More
