No parking on site, apart from owners own under-ground garage with a great danger of being boxed in by other vehicles. Double yellow lines on the main road below the residence make it impossible to park or even stop to offload. The only available parking is on the extension of the road this place is on, which is across a... More

A nice guest house located close to the city centre, approximately 10 minutes walk. Staff were friendly and made sure we were happy. Room was well sized and clean. Bathroom ceiling was slightly awkward but that's just due to the age of the building and bring taller than average! Shower pressure wasn't great but temperature fine and fairly modern. TV's... More

Upgraded to premier suit upon arrival. Staff friendly and helpful. Beds comfortable and wolf blankets abundant. Excellent wi-fi and window fridge. We paid £21 a night each and our experience was on par with the finest hotels in the area. Thank you Highcroft, I love you.

They canceled my paid booking 12h before arrival! I did my booking and paid for it few months earlier. On the day when I had my flight to UK I found they send me e-mail saying my booking was cannceled. No explenation! No "sorry" !%#. Email was sent @ 23:30 about 12 hours before my arrival. As I read quite... More

Very bad! Room cold (17 C) and smelly + quite impolite staff! I booked that based on reviews which I believe were fake. Please look carefully to all the recensions about this property - for your sake.

I have recently stayed here and I am not happy with the service I received. I arrive at the hotel to the following:- - Being talked/looked Down to By an old lady. - being told I would be moved to a LESSER equipped room mid-stay even AFTER paying the full amount for the "DOUBLE EN-SUITE", which only has SINGLE beds... Met (NOT greeted) at door by absolutely vile woman whose social skills wouldn't do for a prison matron. Demanded immediate cash payment (despite website that proclaims credit cards accepted) and went on to say the card machine was "broken" as many other reviewers have noted. Next morn after a night with NO heat (In November?!) went down for breakfast to... More

Don't stop here, don't even slow down. First the good news: The place is well located. It is clean and the room that my friend and I had was large and comfortable. Bad news: everything else. The room was comfortable if you were in bed with the covers plied on, it was too cold to do anything else. This was... More

Bearing in mind the incredibly bad standard of spoken English demostrated by the landlady there was absolutely no point in trying to quibble about FreeView being different to Sky TV, or about a sink not constiuting "en-suite" or about the non-existant off-street parking or about the wet used towel laying on the bed or about the rather rubbish wi-fi....

Absolutely appalling service at this B&B. Arrived to be told they had no rooms despite the fact the money had already come out of my account. They refused to help find alternative accommodation, despite their T&C stating that they would if the original request could not be fulfilled. It then took 20 mins to get in writing that the money...
