I stay at this hotel almost every week and I am never dissapointed. The staff always make me feel like part of the family and I class them as friends. The food is big and comforting and great value for money. The hotel is clean and the rooms vary in size but are all comfortable with all amenities. The staff... More

Nice clean hotel, hard to justify the cost though. Restaurant is distinctly average. Staff in hotel are very pleasant, restaurant / bar staff look bored.

Hot dark stuffy room, busy A46 outside, impossible to read by dimmest lights ever, Bathroom door swung from top, and banged unless you knew how to "roll it" it back. Several "bumps" in the night told me others had same problem. Tried to sleep in softest bed, and then it got worse. Noisy little planes descending just above hotel to... More

Stayed in the premier inn across the road, booked a table in the afternoon, had to eat on the bar not the restaurant, Same menu as we had in a different pub the night before! Food was eatable but not exciting.

2 for £10 deal - you think it'll just be the average fare. Not at the Cocked Hat! The meals are huge - I had 2 large chicken breasts in my chicken burger. The chips were cooked to perfection. Friend had New York BBQ chicken - again a large portion and reported to be extremely tasty. Not a microwave in... More

Room was clean, small, basic; bring your own lighting if you want to read. The bed was so soft it was like sleeping on jelly. I had the worst steak pie ever, soggy microwaved pastry, tasteless mashed potato, and about six peas. When I complained I was told management policy was at fault! The breakfast was no more than average.... More

To cheap I thought. I arrived at 2005hrs. Too late but the receptionist was happy to let me in. The room was basic. It was clean, tidy and had all I needed including warmth. Also it was quiet. For the price exceptional.

Convenient location whilst we stayed overnight at the Premier Inn. Also near a few supermarket, McDonalds and TGI Friday. Good service provided by friendly staff. A variety of meal deals were available at very reasonable prices i.e. 2 meals for £10. We opted for a fish feast £8.79 each which was enormous and tasty. Free wifi access and Sky television... More

The hotel has just had the rooms refurbished, mine was decorated well and bed was really comfortable and there were no issues with the shower. Free WiFi worked well in the rooms and the pub next door. I ate twice in the pub and on both nights the food was good, hot and not too fussy. staff good, very happy... More

Looks ok from the ouside but not so good from the inside. The reception closes at 8 pm and the guest have to open the reception door with a key, so this looks like more a guest house than a hotel. The staff it's friendly, not complaints about it. The furniture it's old fashion and the illumination it's a bit... More
