Only stayed for one night but would stay again gladly. Although situated outside the city centre it is only a two minute drive to the nightlife of Broad street and the NIA. The hotel is situated on the Hagley road, a main arterial road into Birmingham and so has plenty of bus routes into the city, the bus journey taking... More

Just returned from a weekend break at the Strathallan. Great value as we booked through Supabreaks and got 2 nights bed and breakfast and one evening meal for £105 for 2 people. Rooms are smallish but spotlessly clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The food was excellent and the choice was good for both the 3... More

stayed here for a one night business trip. First impressions were not great. Do not let the carpark fool you. Nor the stairs from the carpark to the reception. These do need updating but once inside the hotel the room was really comfortable, and clean. We had evening dinner here. The starter was goats cheese but turned out to be... More

I stayed here for 1 night for a reunion with work colleagues. I had a single room which was very small, but extremely comfortable just for 1 night. The lady at reception was really friendly and genuine. I had asked for an outside room when booking, as I had read that the hotel was rather hot, which I couldn't have... More

We had our wedding anniversary here and have stayed over a few times and it's just close to being a perfect place to stay. Close enough to the city centre for comfort but not right in as to come across all the drunks out on town Quality, quality, quality!

The hotel was booked for me and I have to say I was a bit disappointed when I arrived - dull, concrete exterior, shabby reception and hallways (I was on level 4). But the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast scrumptious! My room (which I think is typical) was triangular so a little hard to navigate but... More

We wanted to spoil our friend for her 'special' birthday. I saw this offer on groupon which was for afternoon tea, a three course meal including a bottle of wine, standard double room and breakfast. I was in contact with Daniel from reception before hand who ensured our rooms were next to each other and answered any questions I had.... More

We got a very cheap deal on the web for this hotel so expected it to be poor. We were delighted to find the opposite. We had free parking which was one of the things that attracted us. The room was small but had everything needed and all in good order. The whole hotel was quite warm so we used... More

We bought a groupon deal which was afternoon tea, 3 course evening meal with wine and breakfast, so at £89 it was a bargain. From start to finish it was just brilliant, the room was great with a very comfy bed, bathroom was very clean and also the tv had a great range of channels. The bar and restaurant area... More

Stayed at Menzies hotel classed as four star hotel but it was not nice small room , smelly and dated and did not look clean , did not enjoy our stay. I would not like to go back there again in a hurry.I felt very claustrophobic. The staff were ok and I remember the breakfast was allright basic but edible... More
