4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This was my second visit to the Strathallan and much improved it was too. Last time I experienced rudeness at the front desk, this time only politeness, Last time I ordered hot milk which was served in a handle-less jug, this time it had a handle. Special thanks to Claire Bevans who went well beyond the call of duty to... More

Stayed here for 5 nights whilst on a course, they had a deal if you stayed for 2 nights you had a free evening meal which was really handy and wasn't expecting it to be 3 courses. Food was lovely. Gym is on the very small side but managed to have the treadmill to myself most days. Bus stop right... More

I went to this hotel for a murder mystery night. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. There was a bar with sofas and lots of comfortable seating. I was booked into a single room. The room was a good size and had a three quarter bed. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was... More

If the word 'adequate' means anything then I am sure it applies to Brimingham's Menzies Strathallan Hotel, and I suggest you don't expect more. With bedrooms aplenty stacked around its central rotunda it must appeal to conference or convention bookers as a budget-level place in which to accommodate their functions, but the impression to a casual guest such as myself... Stayed at this hotel this week. The hotel was good but the rooms could have been bigger . The unusual building gives narrow to long rooms . Hotel is of a good standard with a decent breakfast . Car parking was £4 for a 24hr period and the hotel ha a gym but I did not use .

Stayed as a couple for 2 nights over a weekend on a deal that included breakfast and one evening meal. Hotel is located on a main road just outside the city center. There is a bus stop outside the hotel door and this is advised especially if you are going right into the center or the Bull ring area of... More

Upon arrival on Menzies Strathallan, Birmingham, noticed the reception area was quite old and dark. It does need renovation urgently. A big sign on the desk saying that internet was not available. Which is a bummer if you need to do some work When I got to my hotel. I had two options either I sleep in the room and... More

My wife and I booked another break via Superbreaks to Menzies Hotel, Stratham, Hagley Rd Birmingham for the week end 14 - 16th March, but due to my wife damaging her right leg and would take 4 - 6 weeks to mend, we had to cancel the break the day before on the 13th. + Free car park. Very clean. Staff polite. Bed comfortable. - Feels outdated and furnishing shabby. We obviously picked the wrong time for breakfast as the food was stone cold. At night it was very noisy when revellers came home and again in the morning when staff started work. We had an outside room so we were lucky as they... More
