Like another reviewer, I'd booked this hotel before remembering to check reviews. We'd booked it for its proximity to Edgbaston and my brother and his family had also stayed previously. After hearing about possible noise from the leisure complex, I'd phoned the hotel and asked the very helpful lady on reception about requesting a quiet room. She explained that the... more

I had booked a night at this hotel before finding the Trip Advisor site. Having read the reviews, I was seriously worried & even considered booking somewhere else & not turning up. As it turned out, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it was a fairly basic room, but that’s exactly what Travellodge say they are providing! The room was clean,... more

After reading really poor reviews we were a bit dubious to stay but left it too late to cancel. It served a purpose. Somewhere to sleep for one night. Not noisy as it was mid week. Infact the whole area was quiet apart from some road noise. Rooms were ok. Quite small with only a tiny window so could feel... more

Stayed here for one night. Never again. Chose because of closeness to the NIA. Didn't bank on the thumping bass from the bar below keeping us awake well into the early hours of the next morning, or the early morning pressure washing cleaning outside which would have woken us up at 5am had we not already been awake. The bed... more

Although the staff were helpful, I still had to do with curtains hanging off the window. What a shock I got when I got my credit card bill and found I had been charged £166 for 1 night at this awful place. I'm still fighting this but cannot get anyone to speak to me regarding this huge amount for 1... more

I stayed here for 2 nights. Yeah the walls were quite dirty with what looked like water drip stains but the rest of the room was acceptably clean. I was prepared to pay for the underground parking £6 for 12 hours but quicklty discovered free residential parking opposite the hotel in Ruston St. I felt comfortable to leave my car... more

As a regular traveller this is truly the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in, as first impressions count I had to hang the curtains upon arrival. The toilet, sink, and bath were all cracked, the seal around the bath was black. There were holes in the walls and stains as decoration. The only saving grace for the hotel... more

We stayed here for 3 days during the summer holidays and I got it for £19 a night including breakfast! This Travelodge was really clean and the staff were great. We had clean towels everyday as well. It is above a Frankie and Bennys and opposite there is a cinema. There is also a chinese buffet restaurant on this complex... more

Stayed here on Wedneaday evening before the 3rd Ashes Test match at Edgbaston. Location was ideal, just a short bus trip away from the cricket ground. Close to the resturants and bars of Broad Street for the evening out before hand. Got the room in £19 sale so really couldn't grumble. We had booked a twin room, but didn't have... more
