This restaurant is a must for all foodies! Not only do they make you feel special by having the service near on perfection but the food is outstanding! The chicken and duck liver parfait was devine and absolutely melted in the mouth! This was the favourite course of my partner, however the iced goats cheese had to be mine! The... More

A truly unique and memorable experience. I booked a meal for a business meeting to take clients. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. We were served with an array of delicious courses and various wines to complement the dishes. The food was faultless and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Certainly... More

Visited here Saturday (31 Jan) with a group of friends. From start to finish to eye to detail and hosting was excellent. We had the afternoon set lunch menu which was cooked, prepared and served to perfection. It had a lovely relaxed feel yet you feel like you were really having a treat. The wine that came with the meal... More

Myself and my family had a fabulous treat when attending here just before Christmas. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was exquisite. We each had the taster menu which we were told would take four hours and it did. My favorite was the duck liver and also the pear tarts with blue cheese ice cream and walnut crumb.... More

My partner and I visited Simpsons recently as a treat. We have been before a few times but it has been a couple of years since our last visit. Everything about our visit was excellent from how we were greeted, the service and the food. Simpsons is not an every day establishment or perhaps an every week one as it... More

Wednesday 19th Nov 2013. Room and table booked. 1 hour delay on the M1 with the engine switched off as the motorway was shut between junction 15 and 18. Arrived too late for the kitchen. Thank you Chris McLoughran for your welcome and for sorting out the best beef sandwiches and rioja with it to be brought up to the... More

Apart from the horrible fever tree tonic which is even worst than britvic and that's saying something in my opinion, this meal was the absolute nuts.. Clever combinations and chef show offs through out made this an evening to remember. Thanks

Friday evening 25/7/14 Stunning food served with a smile and great efficiency. Every course was superb but the simple sounding risotto was one of the best things I've ever eaten and had depths of flavours from humble ingredients I didn't think possible.

What a fantastic place this is. Its what you must call a dining experience rather than just a meal. The service, the quality, even the value dare I say it is just sensational. I have been a quite a few times now and I consider it my favourite restuarant. A must go if you are in Birmingham. I have also... More

I second every word of Rackface's review below which is spot on. As a group of 8 most of us were impressed with our food, but not universally so. However, we felt abandoned at the far end of the conservatory (which lacks atmosphere) until one of our party complained at which point the service improved markedly. At nearly £1200, admittedly...
