We arrived at night the parking is too far from hotel which is not good when you have a disabled child! The entrance was more like a staff entrance with no lighting. Corridors and lifts filthy. We arrived at the room and had to make a makeshift bed for our son we only had one pillow which was thinner than... More

I must admit that I had some worries, having read some of the reviews here but chose it for it's proximity to the NEC which we were visiting. The hotel has been "added" to the original Dunlop Tyres building, which itself contains office accommodation and some trendy stores at ground level. There is also a Londis shop and an excellent... I have stayed at various travelodges and I have never had a bad word to say about any of them. But this hotel lets the whole chain down! We walked in to find a young kid behind reception struggling to get to grips with the system, didn't know how to book a 'walk in' tried phoning his colleagues, in the... More

A fairly standard Travelodge, albeit with good location adjacent to M6, and with interesting views over the north of Birmingham. A bit noisy from aircraft coming into the airport, (the runway starts only about 5 miles south east of the hotel). TV had seen better days, and the 'breakfast' was on the poor side of average. Oh, and finding the... More

We had a clean, well appointed room where everything worked although the shower had a sense of humour! The building is very interesting and the location is good except that I was cycling from the city centre and this was not easy. The staff we dealt with were exceptionally helpful with bags of local knowledge. If you have to stay... More

We had a club event and wanted to find a cheap budget place to let any of our members to come. Actually this target we managed to pass - some of us, who were the quickest with the online booking, paid only 15 quid for a night. It is a really really basic hotel, where there is a highest time... I stayed for the night prior to a family wedding. The hotel is right under the flight path for Birmingham airport so very noisy. The beds were so soft that it was like having no mattress. One towel provided in a family room. However for what you pay for it was as expected. Cheap and cheerful.

The room has cracks on wall. The bed is sinking. No place to eat nearby. The close by restaurants is 15 mins walk across motorway. They has bar and cafe - but they don't have beer on tap. The bottle beer is even not cold. Order a bottle of cider and being given a warm glass out of dishwasher to... More
