Just spent a night here to go to a wedding and thought it excellent, as it is well away from traffic noise, its clean, the staff are great and the breakfast very tasty. Tiny issue, its quite hard to find - go to Lucas House reception more
Booked through Hotels.com, but the booking seemed to get lost. I should have gone directly to conference centre. Stayed at the Conference Park for 6 nights while attending a short course at the University as this is the nearest accommodation available. But it was not a bad choice. A wet day at the cricket ODI ended at the Conference Park. The twin room was clean, functional, quiet, with brew up facilities. Student rooms of yore were never like this. Excellent value, clean, comfortable and friendly staff. We visited at weekend and only a dozen guests appeared to be staying. - so very quiet. Good location for City and easy to find during the day. Extensive choice of breakast. more
