Looking for somewhere close to the Edgbaston grounds, got this on the web from one of the regular hotel room sale sites, it looks good in the photograph, this is not a hotel in the real sense of the word, purely University student accommodation. Staff very friendly and helpful, but the room smelled of some sort of extreme cleaner or... More

stayed here for 3 nights. Cannot find fault with this accommodation from price to staff all excellent. Friendly, informative and helpful staff, comfortable ensuite accommodation with plenty of room, great cooked breakfast in the morning, excellent little bar and terrace, free WiFi and all for around £22 a night pp!! Couldn't ask for better. Well done Birmingham Uni!!

Stayed here Saturday night while working on the student accommodation new build and after reading a few reviews I began to fear the worst . But I was wrong and I think some reviews are unjust, we stayed in the Peter Scott building and it was very clean , the rooms were a decent size, similar to a Travelodge, and... More

The hotel is clean and tidy the room was large with tea /coffee etc the bathroom was small and pokey and not very well laid out the breakfast was a shambles to many customers and no where to sit and when you did find a seat the breakfast was not worth the wait or the money it was cold and... More

Stayed her for 2 nights for the cricket, which meant we were in a perfect location, we even walked to the cricket ground. It was clean & we had every thing we needed. Unfortunately it had the feel of student accommodation, the long corridors leading to the room & even the furniture in our room. We had 2 old desks... More

We booked a double and single room to attend a graduation ceremony in the University. £120 for the 2 rooms with a fabulous buffet breakfast and lovely helpful staff. Yes some aspects may be a little dated but it was good value for money and very convenient for any thing you may want to do in Edgbaston or wider Birmingham.... More

Lucas House Conference Centre is in a particularly good location if you want to attend events in Edgbaston, being within easy walking distance of Birmingham University buildings, the Priory Tennis Club, Botanical Gardens, etc. It offers free parking, and the University station is a short walk away if you need to go into the city. However, the comfort of your... More

Stayed for the week in Peter Scott House whilst attending a conference, the place has great 1970s ambience! Nice clean room, overlooking woodland and fields, free WiFi and also an ironing board complete with iron- you don't get those in many hotels! Bathroom and products are good quality. Nice staff, and good restaurant and bar facilities in Lucas House next... More
