Stayed for a night on business. The Conference Centre is not that well signposted in the Aston Uni campus at the top of Corporation Street in Brum. Welcome not the most enthusiastic, with an abrupt member of staff who criticised another member of staff in front of me and rolled her eyes while referring to them. I think the rooms,... More

Stayed in this hotel 13th February for 2 nights with 4 other couples and as we got off the train and made our way to this hotel I had my doubts with the location but when we got inside what a hidden gem. All the staff couldn't do enough for us, the evening meal was fabulous and plentiful and the... More

stayed mid week. The bedroom is not very big but adequate. It had all the necessary items including an ironing board and iron. Useful for shirts etc. very clean and tidy. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. Check out is at 9 am but you can leave your luggage in a locked room at reception. It is located... More

Had a lovely time at the hotel. Staff very helpful. Used the gym and pool facility which was very good. Really enjoyed the food. Great base to get into Birmingham -saw a show at the Alexandra which finished at 10.00, and was back in our room by 10.30. All shopping close by too. Good value for money.

We went on a 2 nights b&b plus one evening meal deal. We arrived late on the first night and the staff were very accommodating. We liked the location both for driving into and out of Birmingham and walking to the centre for some shopping. Excellent breakfast, a warm bar area and even sky sports on the TV. Small negatives... LOCATION: Basically, if you arrive at New Street Station, walk straight down Corporation Street, on your right hand side you will eventually see a little restaurant called Annexe, turn right, cross over at the traffic lights and you’re on Aston University’s campus, follow the signs pointing to the hotel (total 20 mins). There is also a Tesco Express minutes from... More

I found my room in the conference hotel had had some refurbishment with a nice modern bathroom and a comfortable bed. The food was pretty good overall, although the conference dinner was more like lunch all over again (minus a starter). My main gripe was with the appalling coffee on offer. The vending machines in the conference networking areas served... More

Stayed for two nights in January with the wife. Good Points: 1) Location: walking distance to town centre 2) Clean/Modern/everything worked as it should. 3) Access to University Sports Facilities (swimming/gym etc) which is the main reason we stayed 4) simple and functional Bad Points 1) Beds! Cheap and very soft so for me, didn't sleep great but i like... More

Never knew about this place till I was invited to a conference at this venue. Booking into the hotel was not easy on line with various options and different kinds of rooms being offered, sight unseen. The website is not at all user friendly or even intuitive. The location is advertised as being very close to Bitmingham New Street train... More

One night stay, chosen for location but never again. Central air ventilation system wakes you up in the early hours and the staff cannot override it, so sleep isn't an option. Breakfast is an awful college buffet served by disinterested kids.

Dear Hullboy67, Thank you very much for reviewing your stay with us in November, I'm not sure if this is in relation to the same stay you have previously reviewed for the same month, or an additional experience. I'm very sorry to hear your time with us fell short of the standard we would expect to deliver, particularly if it... More
