This was a hard place to stay. The service was ordinary at best. The attitude of the staff was not helpful, the room cleanliness and attention to detail was not up to scratch, laundry was not delivered when it should have been, and service at the bar was woeful. Not good for a Radisson Blu.

Not sure if this place needs a refurb or that it's meant to look, well, strange! Decor is like from the 60s and it all feels a bit Ikea but the naff stuff that you wouldn't have in your house. Parking is in a really grubby NCP at the back of the hotel, £14 which was "discounted". Would not want... More

When we got to our room the bathroom light wasn't working, phoned reception and maintenance men-2of them!-turned up straight away to chance light bulb! House keeping really needs to be reassessed as the dust all around the room was not very pleasant at all, there was rubbish in the bathroom bin which neither my husband or I didn't put it... More

There is very little actually wrong with this hotel - the slow service and panpipe versions of Michael Jackson tunes in the restaurant aside - but there was very little that was impressive about it either. Biggest complaint would be the sleep quality - I was disturbed by noise in the corridor, the street outside, and the bright light from... More

We booked two rooms at the Radisson Blu on Saturday 21st March 2015. My friend got to her room to find a dirty quilt cover and asked housekeeping to change it. Next the electricity in her room wouldn't work and she spoke to housekeeping again and they said that maintenance had been working in there that day, eventually it came... More

Stayed here for one night before travelling to the airport the next day. The hotel is in a convenient location, close to the Bullring and around the corner from the train station. Check-in was efficient. The rooms were light, airy and modern with plenty of space, beds were comfy, though maybe a little soft for some people's taste, and we... More

One of the most horrid hotels in Birmingham. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Breakfast was awful.no consideration given to person's of other faiths. Asked the chef If the same frying pans are both used for making ham omelettes and veggie, the response was yes. Had to do without my omelette. On return to the room... More

The furnishings philosophy appears to be that curtains are required for modesty only, thus it is reasonable to just provide net curtains on the 10th floor - and perhaps others, I didn't check. Unfortunately, Birmingham is a well-lit city even over night, meaning that the room was flooded with light all night. Bring a blindfold or build a barricade of... More

We arrived to an odd smell in the room, but we thought it would go away, but it hung about with us all weekend. Going by other reviews it may be something in the plumbing? When I booked I specifically asked for a double bed and double checked that we were getting a double bed. I do this to ensure... More

Stayed here 1 night on business and was happy with everything, room was fine, it had a comfy bed and a good bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very nice with a good choice at both the self service buffet and the cook to order menu (I had salmon & poached eggs on a muffin - eggs were... More
