The hotel is in a poor state, carpets stained wall paper grubby, and there is no lift, carrying heavy suitcases upstairs en route to airport is very difficult. After requesting a change of room the newly decorated (without changing the carpets) wing was better. However the staff were very helpful ,the car park is free, although I couldn`t find any eateries within walking distance,- I wouldn`t... Booked into this hotel as the one I normally stay in was full due to an event at the NEC. I booked it prior to looking on Trip Advisor and after reading the reviews I was very tempted to cancel. But being the optimist I am I decided to see for myself how bad or good it was. I checked... More

The two lads on Reception were friendly and very helpful and suggested somewhere nice to eat as the restaurant is currently unavailable. The room was cold with stains on the carpet, marks on the walls, damage on the back of the door. Radiator top bent up. Light hanging off the wall and light over mirror not working. Window didn't shut... More

We booked this hotel last minute and regretabley didn't read the earlier reviews... On arrival the hotel pretty much looked deserted and in the whole of our stay we didn't see one other customer. We went up the maze of stairs where we found our room which definitely hadn't been cleaned. The bathroom was a dated, burgundy coloured suite, there... More

Myself and 5 friends stayed here for a night whilst visiting the German Christmas market in December. We were looking for a budget hotel to say the least but at £60 per double room per night I think we could have done much better. The rooms were spacious but definitely in need of complete renovation, awful decor, the carpets were... More

Recently stayed for one night for a night out in Birmingham. Yes it's shabby and could do with a good refurb , but our room was comfy and clean and bed was surprisingly really comfy! Staff were friendly , hassle free check in and check out. Free parking was a massive bonus (and saving) and only minutes away from broad... More

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed it, at £50 a room it's not that cheap, close to the station but there's not exactly a regular service into town. Every half an hour on the Saturday and non at all on the Sunday. The rooms smell, the walls are damaged and peeling the shower was powerful but you couldn't... More

Looks great from outside but that's it, rooms dated and unfit for purpose. Stayed in a lot of places and this is down there with the worst. Iron and fag burns on carpets beds broken shower warm at best and weak

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have travelled cattle class in developing nations. The stench, the grime, the dilapidation are akin to to a war zone. This place is a headline waiting to happen and you just might as well snuggle down under some cardboard with the tramps on New Street.
