This was a hotel booked with friends to go see bands at the NEC. On arrival the hotel looked scruffy and very tired but it was cheap so you can forgive most things if it is a comfy bed and clean. Unfortunately this proved not to be the case. The beds were terrible, with rubbish scruffy thin duvets well past... More

Well, where to start...initial impressions were...well, it's OK. .I suppose, thank goodness it's only for one night...however....it's now 3am and I'm freezing, the bed slopes and I can feel all my blood rushing to my head. Next door are having a party, getting to, ahem, know each other really well (!) and I can hear everything....maybe they're trying to out... More

Whenever I go away the reviews are normally really bad and the hotel actually turn out pretty decent, so looking at all the bad reviews for this hotel I thought surely it's not too bad for £60. I should have looked into this hotel and area a lot more than I did. The area is a dump, literally as the... More

I had the displeasure of staying here for a week for a work function. Firstly the entrance hall was unwelcoming, untidy and unclean. The evening member of staff I dealt with on most occasions was however very helpful. On finally reaching my room after several sets of stairs I was immediately shocked at the stench in the room, almost like a... More

Paid £60 a night for three nights. £180 total. I was a tradesman working at NEC. Despite the fact that I was absolutely filthy with dirt and dust from working even I managed to feel unclean in this place. It really is the pits. Everything is faded. Carpets. Decor. Rooms. Front of house. If you want something value for money... More

Terrible horrible place, staff are less than friendly, area has no atmosphere and the rooms are disgusting! Lights didn't work, window wouldn't shut and I was 10 foot from a main road that's used through the night by race cars!! Nothing nice to say about this place at all.

This is a basic motel with free parking, right next to Small Heath railway station. It was ideal for a quick visit to Birmingham. The reception staff were very friendly, well informed, and helpful. The room and linens were clean, the water was hot, and there was a good size flat screen TV for catching up on the news, excellent... More

Where to begin is the question. Fair enough it's very cheap £25 a night you cannot complain right ? NO your wrong you definitely can complain, when we first arrived I didn't want to believe this was my hotel it looked like an old abandoned mental asylum in the middle of nowhere. But we had already booked so we thought... More
