Myself and 5 friends stayed here for a night whilst visiting the German Christmas market in December. We were looking for a budget hotel to say the least but at £60 per double room per night I think we could have done much better. The rooms were spacious but definitely in need of complete renovation, awful decor, the carpets were... More

Recently stayed for one night for a night out in Birmingham. Yes it's shabby and could do with a good refurb , but our room was comfy and clean and bed was surprisingly really comfy! Staff were friendly , hassle free check in and check out. Free parking was a massive bonus (and saving) and only minutes away from broad... More

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed it, at £50 a room it's not that cheap, close to the station but there's not exactly a regular service into town. Every half an hour on the Saturday and non at all on the Sunday. The rooms smell, the walls are damaged and peeling the shower was powerful but you couldn't... More

Looks great from outside but that's it, rooms dated and unfit for purpose. Stayed in a lot of places and this is down there with the worst. Iron and fag burns on carpets beds broken shower warm at best and weak

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have travelled cattle class in developing nations. The stench, the grime, the dilapidation are akin to to a war zone. This place is a headline waiting to happen and you just might as well snuggle down under some cardboard with the tramps on New Street.

I wish I didn't have to rate this place with even 1 star. It was quite easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It was dirty, it was smelly and I never felt safe from the minute I got there. Someone also tried getting in our room during the night. If it hadn't been for the case that... More

Sadly my title doesn't even to it justice. How The Birmingham Hotel is still in business is amazing, having a large free car park really is the only good point. I booked here as I needed a last minute triple room for me and some work colleagues that could also fit a van onto the car park, and this was... More

Very surprised, turned up after a night out and surpassed what was expected. Booked it for a shag and stayed for two! 10/10 Aside from that the tv was a Nice size 34" and the beds weren't half bad. Showers could've done with work but got the job done ;) Walls were very thin almost knocked our lass through it

Unfortunately TripAdvisor does not do negatives and requires me to "rate" this hovel, which is why i was forced to give it one spot. Dirty, shabby, room stank of stale cigarette smoke and was stained brown with further stains of I know not what across the walls, net curtains were black and frayed, cigarette burn holes in the mattress. No... More
