Unfortunately TripAdvisor does not do negatives and requires me to "rate" this hovel, which is why i was forced to give it one spot. Dirty, shabby, room stank of stale cigarette smoke and was stained brown with further stains of I know not what across the walls, net curtains were black and frayed, cigarette burn holes in the mattress. No... More

Stayed here for one night before an early flight from Birmingham airport, a convenient 15 minute drive away and hotel is right by train station, one stop from city centre so should be a little gold mine particularly as there is plenty of on site parking. On arrival the building looks fairly modern and well kept and check in was... More

The room was paid for by my work who try to find low price accommodation so I'm used to staying in places that can be rough around the edges. This however was just too rough. Polite receptionist. The reception area and staircase smelled strongly of some kind of air freshener with a potent undernote of stale tobacco smoke. I noticed... More

On arriving at the Birmingham Hotel with my Mum, Auntie and Cousin for a Girly weekend there appeared to be nothing wrong with it. The service on the front desk was fine although the reception area a bit smelly and they offered us a local Chinese menu to order some food in, lovely! Once we got to our rooms we... More

This hotel was booked because it offered a cheap price but boy oh boy I wouldn't pay a penny to wait here or wouldn't stay for free!!!On arrival we wanted to leave but had already paid and it was late. There was huge gangs of youths hanging outside the front door, which was very intimadating. On entering the paint was flaking off the... Booked with Laterooms about 3 days before. Cost £50 which I had to pay before checking in and receiving keycard. Was going to NEC Classic car show. Was advertised as being close to NEC but in traffic took 20 minutes. When I got to room, door had been previously kicked in. Had dent. There was half inch gap between door... More

We paid 168 pounds for two nights, but only stayed one. The carpets were dirty as we're the walls. One wall had torn wallpaper. The TV didn't work in the first room they put us in. The whole interior of the hotel was shabby and run down, nothing like the pictures. There were young people in the car park all... More

My god, what can I say about this place.....arrived and waited for 115 minutes for someone to man reception. Greeting was fine and key issued and then it began.....dull, dreary and downright dirty - this 'hotel' is absolutely awful. I only paid £36 for a night but felt I had paid £35 too much. Room was dirty - bathroom the... More

I had booked for 3 nights and left after the first night. I the guy at reception was help full when asked for directions. The carpets are stained and torn in places. The corridor stinks of ciggy smoke. There is nowhere to eat, the bar is just a fridge filled with cans of beer. The surrounding area is not very... More
