I stayed at the paragon for a couple of nights due to a work training weekend. I booked it as on the website looked quite nice and the price looked great! However, having never been to birmingham before I didn't realise that the location was as rough as it turned out. The 'free car park' was something out of a... More

It was cheap, get what you pay for, sure. But not cheerful..2 nights in this near-empty mausoleum. Reception staff/ management - indifferent and clearly bored. It won an award for design in 1994; they must have been short of options. Massive place set in Digbeth - not the nicest spot in Birmingham. Room wasn't bad, bedding fine. Shower fell apart.... More

Stayed in this hotel 12th April with my boyfriend. The website is completely misleading as was nothing like the photos!we were on the 3rd floor and we are not too fussy as it was a cheap deal anyway! This was horrendous! The car park was terrifying and as we walked along the corridor to our room there was a strong smell... More

We choose this hotel as the website showed it to be a classy and elegant stay, it had a car park, was very near to what we wanted to stay for and it was a excellent price! Upon arrival we drove into the car park - first impressions of this was awful... this was home to drug addicts, alcoholics and... More

A group of 8 of us stayed here on the 11th April. We chose this hotel due to the fact that the rooms on the website looked Nice and that there was parking available. Big Mistake! Arriving at the hotel we entered the car park. As we pulled in, there was rubbish everywhere including lots of empty cans and bottles... More

At £60 a night , we were not expecting such a shabby room, to say its seen better days is an understatement, From walls thick with dust , broken furniture, dangerous broken electrical fixtures and fitting and a Tv from early 1980's with massive 5 channels, it was hard to get into the party sprit, dont lean against the walls... I stayed at the paragon hotel for Valentine's Day.... I have never been so scared in my life... Long 60s interior corridor, creaky, dirty and run down. The bedroom was no better, the twin bedroom was not a pair with one a foot shorter than the other. Paint chipped, furniture damaged and a hole in the bathroom door ...the shining

I stayed here for one night in April 2015. The location is really good, you can walk to the Bull ring shopping centre in 15 minutes and the train station at New street. Without restaurants immediately in the vicinity but again, a ten minute walk to Wagamamas. The hotel has a bright and airy reception. The car park needs improvement... More
