I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is quite close to the city centre. The breakfast was not included in the price of the room, but very nice. more

This hotel was discusting to say the least. We booked the same day and there wasnt much available and thought it was a good deal. When we arrived and walked through the corridors to our room, all you could smell was dirt an must, carpets looked like they had been there for over 100 years !!! interior defo needs refurbishment.... more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, pulled up to what looked like a nice building in a run down area, but quite central to train station. My room was on the fourth floor, and I got very small lift there which smelled of beer. The carpet on my floor was dirty, the doors were dirty, the windows were... more

My boyfriend reserved a room with www.laterooms.com, which means we got a discounted rate of £35 a night, instead of a full price of £125. The room was clean, spacious and perfect for the price we paid. Staff were friendly and area was quiet. more

Best value for money ever. Rooms were contemporary and spotlessly clean. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Ideal location for business or pleasure. Will be staying again without a doubt. more

The 'variable' previous reviews gave me a little bit of worry before I arrived, but this was quickly dispelling the the Reception Staff who were able to re-locate ne to a roomtowards the back of the Hotel and away from the traffic passing by. They were also pleasant, patient and informative. The room itself contained two comfortable beds, television, hairdryer... more

I was due to do a course in birmingham and the company had a rate with the Paragon. I neglected to check reviews before I had let work book my stay, once I decided to look I was a little worried with the reviews to say the least. Varying from AMAZING to RUBBISH in the space of a month. (find... more

Apart from the low standard of the rooms (compared to other 2 star rated hotels we stayed in) and exceptionally discouraging state of the bathroom, the hotel is indeed within walking distance to the strict centre (about 15 min) although considering the surroundings we decided to take a cab. Parking off street but not secure, nobody checks if you paid... more

A lumpy bed with hard pillows greeted us at this hotel. We had Room 139. If you get it, change it for another one as the acoustics are dreadful - you can hear the traffic at all hours. We heard children screaming next door and a party going on in a suite downstairs until 1am. We could even hear people... more
