I was at this hotel for 2 nights... It looks all nice from the outside and when you 1st walk into the building... But my god the rooms don't even have TVs that work.,the shower water is cold...the rooms are damp, old dirty single glazing windows...terrible terrible place to stay... It may be a little cheaper than other hotels... But... More

My main reason for picking this hotel is because I was up in birmingham for the weekend just gone & a friend of mine was due to visit me & it provided free parking! & it also wasn't too far from the city centre. we could walk there! I am mainly disappointed in the pictures that are advertised when seeing... More

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in! Birmingham's version of faulty towers. I feel sorry for the staff who must have to put up with endless complaints. Rebecca the manager and Sandra on reception were helpful and polite and delt with my compliants even though I think Sandra had worked a 17 hour shift.

From the outside the hotel looks absolutely stunning, and my impression was carried through when looking at the marbelled reception area, and the function room that was to hold a large 2 day fashion event. But that is where it all ended...... On going to my room, there was a heavy damp smell in the corridor, but I put this... More

I stayed in the hotel the last weekend with my wife and children. The hotel was fine, price was reasonable for what we got, room was clean and service was helpful. On our last day we ordered breakfast, which was tasty and the coffee is nice.

The hotel is nothing like it shows on the website photos. It's damp, run down and in a shocking area where we really didn't feel safe. It's at least a twenty min walk from the bullring and I would not walk it with some of the characters hanging round. The car park is not locked and we felt unhappy about... More

Booked hotel as originally came from Birmingham and building has history. Reception area great but rooms need a bit more renovation to make attractive. We had a couple of issues which was resolved immediately also staff very polite and helpful. To sum it up you get what you pay for and at under £90 for two nights can't grumble

Terrible area, industrial Food a bit expensive Staff were nice Room was clean Appears they are renovating as it says on the website but nothing seems to be happening. Grand Old building with bigger than average rooms if a bit dated.

visited UK and stopped at the Paragon cheap and no cockroaches or bugs, always a good sign... linen clean and room compact... what more is there to a budget hotel that is ten minutes walk from the city centre
