Stayed at the Paragon in Early April 2014. Receptionist very friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable .Paragon within walking distance of Bullring a good selection of bars and restaurants .This note is very reasonably priced and is undergoing renovations.

I stayed here on business on the 3rd April, you'd be better off committing a minor crime in Birmingham City centre and getting locked up for the evening, it will be cheaper, quieter, cleaner and you will encounter less undesirables than staying here. What a kennel.

I attended training at this hotel this week. The training room was grim and the smell was disgusting. Other people staying in the hotel tried to steal the food that was put out for our lunches. The toilets did not appear to have been clean thoroughly over the two days of the training. The hotel and car park are covered... More

It clearly has asylum seekers staying and they are a nightmare. Lolling around on sofas shouting and letting the kids run wild, hogging the bar area and not buying a drink. It was filthy & scary. The clientele make you feel like you shouldn't be there although your the paying guest. This hotel should make its mind up what it... More

Well my stay was absolutely disgusting from start to finish looks like a refuge for illegals, the staff just don't care as they are so used to hearing the same old complaints on checking in the receptionist with the glasses and black hair was damn right rude an needs to be re trained on manners and how to speak to... Place was filthy. Pizza left in hallways on dirty plates. Mould everywhere. God knows what was on the walls above the headboard. Staff actually don't seem to care. Car park is obviously used by undesirables beer cans left everywhere.

Good points first. Very polite helpful receptionists, both women were lovely. Bed in double room was really comfy, and lovely fresh clean cotton sheets. Airy room with windows to open if needed. Flat screen tv was nice size and mounted on wall so you can easily lay in bed watching. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was toast cereals, and full... More

I swear I only stayed as I was attending a conference there the following day. The staff are lovely I have to say. Such a shame they have to work in such a place. The food for breakfast is fine. The food at the conference was nice as was the function room we were in. There were stained glass skylights... More
