I was in the area on a work course. I needed somewhere to stay for a night. It was an average room, it was clean, had a comfy double bed, clean towels, tea etc. It wouldn't be somewhere I would bring my partner for a romantic location, but for a cheap room for a night or two, it is definitely... Booked 5 rooms through Booking.com. Had confirmation but hotel wanted to charge me more. Half hour to sort it out even though I had a printed confirmation. No apology. Rooms very tired and need updating. Took long time to sort out problems. Shower not inviting so didn't use it. Price was cheap but didn't make up for the hotel. Very... More

There was no heating in our room the entire time we stayed. Windows are single glazing so it was very cold in our room. The lights in our bedroom were not working. We complained about this from the start of our stay and staff made very little to rectify this, So our room was dark and cold the whole stay.... More

Hotel is situated in a rough part of Birmingham, the car park was free but it wasn't secure at all, there were barriers but they were up constantly so anybody could have parked there. The car park was also full of rubbish which didn't look nice at all. The staff at reception were not very helpful, asked them if they... More

Stayed here on 15th May just for one night. The hotel is run down, smelly corridors and small basic rooms. The receptionist lacks basic manners. Back to our room...very small, awful shower, uncomfortable mattress and probably unclean carpets. The walls are very thin and we got woken up by some phone alarm which was set in our neighbouring room! The... More

There is no words for the car park, it looks like a skip in there you can see drug dealers den in the and sleeping bags where people sleep there. The lobby was nice nice shame the rest of the hotel wasn't, the public toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the place opened. Only one of the three... More

After selecting this hotel due to free parking and being close to the city centre, and seeing reasonable photos online, we arrived to be extremely disappointed. After driving through industrial estates, when finally approaching the hotel, we followed signs for the "paragon hotel car park" we were greeted with a very unsafe looking garage type area, which looked abandoned, litter... Stayed here in November 2014 as a base for a night out and was fine as long as you request one of the refurbished rooms which are actually not bad for what you pay..can't imagine the rooms that aren't refurbished seeing the reviews. My experience wasn't too bad just for a base for a night out as we just used... More
