Not sure if I would stay here again. Didn't like the room or the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable also could hear the next door persons tv. Swapped rooms but still not any better or made any difference, Don't think I'll stay here again at this hotel.

I regret that you did not enjoy your stay and were not comfortable. At present major parts of the hotel are under refurbishment. I do hope that you will stay here again and try one of the refurbished rooms More

Located in an unfriendly and somewhat terrifying industrial area, with a lot of garages and patrolling police cars. It's a ten-minute cab ride into the city and we were well advised not to walk there at night. The car park was across the street and felt unsafe even during the daytime. We waited close to 20 minutes for the single... More

I booked the hotel based on the hotel's website. However, I later learned from a manager that this needs updating to reflect the true condition of the hotel. I arrived 17/7/14 to find people drinking on the steps of the hotel. It appears to be being used as a Bed and Breakfast facility for the homeless. The hotel is crowded... More

Stayed here many times because of work, if I could choose I wouldn't go here!! Every stay there has been something wrong. Whether it's animal hair all over my carpet when arriving, having a room next to the main corridor door so it makes loud noises all night, having a broken bed that creaks with every movement, or having a... This place isn't great but let's get some perspective. It's a bedroom with free wifi and CCTV on the car park for under £40 a night. I've paid more for worse places in the past. While I wouldn't book the g/f in there, it's hardly Beirut. Plenty of hot water in my room, four bath towels, clean sheets, brew kit... More

I had one of the old rooms and was happy at the end of the day when your paying just £94 for three nights what more do you ecpect. Would book here again and for there been apparant asylum seekers hanging about I didn't... More

The Paragon - really dissapointing stay only suitable for those who are perhaps young and open minded who need somewhere to crash after a night out (drinking sess) Zero luxury - Damp, Dirty, Rotten rooms, bedroom door was not even locked upon entry, bedroom door locking system questionable. Location not the nicest area in birmingham. In all honesty it's worse... More

Was booked here on business. First impressions formed from the car park, surrounding area and guests started to set alarm bells ringing and after checking in, my colleague and I took a quick look at our rooms (which I imagine were pre-refurbishment) and decided to take our chances finding alternative accommodation for the evening. The receptionist was very bright and... More

After reading previous reviews I asked for a refurbished room on check in. I was duly allocated a room, which was much better than some of those allocated to my colleagues. The room was clean enough and had a new bathroom suite (no bath, just shower) and a new TV, lick of paint and new carpet. The noise from the... More
