After researching heavily in the Birmingham area for a special hotel, I decided that Hotel La Tour looked to be the most highly rated place to go. I can honestly say that this hotel lived up to all my expectations. Trey O'Riordan on Reception was simply brilliant from start to finish. I was taking my partner away for his birthday... More

We stayed here for a romantic weekend away for our anniversary. It was very nice indeed with a modern feel. The room was very clean and modern and comfortable. Unfortunately, we looked out onto another building but I think other rooms have much nicer views. The bed was quite firm, but was ok. The hotel is not too far from... More

First visit to this local hotel. Overall we found the hotel excellent, lovely rooms and a nice bar / dining area that also serve Sunday cream tea which was great. Our visit was only tainted by a rude young lady serving at the bar, a quite complaint was made to duty manager Anthony, who resolved the complaint quickly and professionally... More

Stayed one night for the first time on Saturday night and found the location ideal from the train station and great for shopping and within easy reach of the NIA and the canal side for the bars and restaurant. The hotel was very modern clean and comfortable with friendly and approachable staff - credit also goes to the staff who... More

Really liked the hotel, clean, reception staff very friendly and efficient. Comfy room, large beds and lovely shower room. Nice electronic features in the room to operate lights and access hotel information. Bar meal was nice, central for shopping. As always slightly inflated bar prices but that is normally the case at hotels. Would happily stay again.

I can't deny that the general decor and fixtures and fittings are both pleasing on the eye and of a very good quality. Bed is comfy but a bugbear of mine is air conditioning and although it says it goes down to 14° I can assure you - even on highest fan setting - it did very little to cool... More

Clean and friendly. Room well appointed and not too hot! Conference facilities were excellent and dinner was very good. Easy to find from New Street and next to Moor Street station. Would stay here again.

Stayed at the La Tour mid October 2014 with my fiancee as part of a business trip and we were both happy with this modern hotel. It is really central. You can easliy walk to the city centre (i.e. Bullring). Most of the staff were very friendly and nice (except for one arrogant b...., who considered herself as something better).... More

The hotel is extremely modern - anything that can be done by gadgets, is! Very nice modern design, and friendly staff. Bedrooms are spacious, although even simple things like turning on the lights can be confusing due to the 'gadgety' nature of the place (you do it through a tablet system on the bedside table). Hotel is right in the... More
