My wife & I stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time.We had a superior room which was large and well furnished, had aircom/fridge etc. However the view from the window was of a carpark. There was a wide choice for breakfast. We had one evening meal which was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Malmaison Birmingham, the room was more than perfect, the staff were a little cold on reception, the bar was extremely packed on a saturday night so we weren't able to have a drink before dinner but that didn't spoil our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. more

What a lovely hotel, everything about it was amazing! We were 3 friends staying in a family room, which had a kingsize bed and a double bed, this worked out as £50 each, really good value. The breakfast was wonderful, the hotel staff friendly. Would recommend. more

Visited Malmaison for a shopping trip and overnight stay in Birmingham, great location as very close to train station and shops. Room (standard twin) was large and very clean, the bathroom was a little run down but it was clean and adequate. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere (if a little noisy) and the food and service was fantastic (no... more

Stayed for one night and had a very nice stay. We were there for a graduation ceremony at the Symphony Hall, which was only about 5 mins walk, so it was an excellent location for us. We loved the Mailbox area, there are lots of bars and restaurants around the canal. Our room was comfortable, reasonable size, all the usual... more

I've stayed with Malmaison before, and consequently had high expectations - which were comfortably met. I really enjoyed my stay - the room was clean, the bed comfortable, the decor and furnishing was fresh and in good condition and although the TV is not an LCD flat-panel (see previous reviews) it was of a perfectly acceptable size! As is customary,... more

We stayed 1 night for my Birthday and got a really good rate that included dinner. The room was the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in! It had 2 king sized beds with a huge space in-between them. The only problem was the newspaper we ordered did not appear in the morning, and they should provide dressing gowns... more

We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend as a treat and the chance to get out of London. There was a really good deal on which we found on the website. The reception area was gorgeous and the location great, especially as we came up by train. The bedrooms were huge (even the standard rooms), with massive beds and... more

This is in a great location, a few minutes walk from the train station and set in the mail box - some great shops. Not so good if driving as no hotel carpark and it is a costly £18 a day. The bedrooms are lovely, quiet and with lovely huge bottles of bubble bath and hair conditioner made by Arran... more

I have stayed at a number of the Malmaison hotels before including the one in Birmingham and been quite impressed, however this stay was very disappointing. When we arrived at 6pm we had to wait to check in for 10 minutes whilst the sole person on reception dealt with someone who was complaining about a lost booking, When we were... more
