I will never use travel lodge. Budget for a reason. Absolute rubbish. Staff not helpful. Hotel was filthy. I wouldn't even stay there and drove 3.5 hours home that night. They have been unhelpful and I am very disappointed. Stag and hen night worthy only I'm guessing. I think even the stags would complain.

With any travel lodge hotel you know to expect a decent nights sleep and a comfortable clean room and this was no less. The rooms are moderately decorated and furnished, having a desk, coat hanger, TV and tea making facilities with their new modern style decor. The beds are clean and well made, there double beds are a good size... More

My brief stay was made better by the helpful Sam (6.10.14) Réception..you see I needed flight boarding pass printed and while she didn't have access to computer to help me she called the manager who sorted it for me.....After a few technical issues with my email... She also recommebed a great Indian Restaurant on Broad St....... Comfortable clean rooms too

I recently stayed at this hotel and I can honestly say it's was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful and dealt with all my needs and treated me as a person and not just another guest staying at the hotel. The rooms were clean fresh and modern and had all I needed for my stay. The location is... More

For a budget hotel, this Travelodge is very good. The room was very clean and presentable. The building looks recent and it has nice lighting inside. There is a choice of three different types of lighting in the bedroom as well. The mattress was very good. It didn't kill my back after a week, like some budget hotels. The channels... More

Booked this Travelodge as we needed reasonable accommodation in central Birmingham. Best of all they offer a late checkout service, ideal if out clubbing. Easy to find, secure car parking close by, with a discount rate for hotel guests. Warm and very friendly greeting by front desk. Check in was efficient and hassle free. Room was very clean and well... More

I have had mixed experiences in travelodges in the past with some good and some bad but if they were all like this hotel I wouldn't have any complaints. Great hotel, handy location for city centre Birmingham. Lovely staff who are welcoming and helpful. nothing was too much trouble. They even lent me a hairdryer as I forgot mine.

We stayed on a Saturday night so the hotel was quite busy. I didn't see any tramps or alcoholics outside and our room overlooked the little park area. Parking was excellent value - you are right in the centre of Birmingham and parking for £5.80 for 24 hours! The actual price should have been £20 but we got a discount... More

The hotel is in a great location. It's easy to find from New Street station and is close to the Bull Ring shopping centre. In the evenings we were able to walk to The Arcadian and China Town were there are plenty of restaurants and bars. There are some alcoholics that sit on the benches near by but they never... More

I had an early morning train to Scotland and decided to overnight in Birmingham. New Street is a short 7-10 minute walk from the hotel, and as the hotel have a discount arrangement (£5.80 for 24 hours) with the NCP just around the corner it seemed like a good option. On arrival I was directed to the room. The first... More
