Feels a bit old and cheap, bathrooms not of the highest standard, but otherwise ok. Moderately clean. Cooked breakfast included in the price. The guests at the time I was staying fell into the 30s-40s, a workshop, I think. Peaceful and quiet location at the outskirts, next to a small park with a pond. Requires a bus or walk +... More

This hotel was unfriendly, dated, dirty, cheap and nasty. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Young staff couldn't care less. Lots of noise at night outside bedroom door at 12.30 at night. When I opened the door and begged for silence I was told I was shouting at a 5 year old boy! The man with him was very... More

This is more like a hostel than a hotel. The overall stay was enjoyable, the drinks in the bar is cheap. The grounds are brilliantly kept and my accommodation in the lodge was brilliant. But it isn't hotel standard. My stay was faultless though

A good value but ergonomics are not evident in the design of the en-suite in the room we stayed in(44). Rather cramped bath, albeit a jacussi, and separate WC. Very squeaky hinges on door between bed area and bath/WC. Clean. Nice quiet surroundings and Harborne itself only a ten minute walk away through leafy park.

Harborne Hall holds the History of Birmingham on the wall on the way to check in. Preciously owned by VSO, this place of tranquility that has been a manorial home, religious house and education centre, has come full circle. The owner has returned the Hall to a family home and is gently refurbishing the place to create no nonsense sense... More

We stayed in Harborne Hotel for my son's graduation. There was not enough room in the double bed?? (probably bed was just bigger than a single bed) to sleep two people so one of us had to sleep on the floor on a duvet. We could not get out of the hotel as no-one told us there was a code for... More

having been here several times before to attend a tai chi training weekend, i roughly knew what to expect. this visit saw changes from the last time, some increasing and some decreasing in expectations. the centre had been taken over since my last visit in 2008 when it was run by and for VSO training. The first confusion point was... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Harborne Hall Hotel in Harborne this week end. It was a lovely place and far exceeded my hopes for a hotel for £15 a night. Very clean and neat with newly installed bathrooms. I can give this place a 10/10 for everything. Should I ever need to go and stay in Birmingham, this... More

Being a 6' + bloke I was very please to see on my returned visit that single beds have been replaced by small doubles. In my refurbished room the new decor and carpet was very pleasing. The shared shower facilities have also been refurbished to a good standard - A great soaking! Budget accommodation at budget price - great for... More

I had read the reviews before my arrival and was quite concerned but had already booked. Entrance very confusing. The first on the main road looks so inviting until u see the sign to use back entrance. Cab driver dropped me at what can only be described as some very daunting gates. When i pressed the buzzer the gates open... More
