Unless you are forewarned, you may believe this is a regular hotel. It may help you to be advised the Dormy is in fact hostel accommodation, used by homeless people in the city. If you book your stay aware of this you may have less of a shock than many reviewers here experienced. I work voluntarily with homeless people in... More

Where do i start.? on check in the guy in front of me was trying to get a discount as he only wanted the double room for an hour,(he got it) our room was dirty smelly (cigarette ends, booze and marijuana) stained bed linen, the view from the window was 3 condoms a vodka bottle and fag ends on the roof below... Well what can I say....UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES STAY HERE! It's vile, we were given a family room with a shower and no toilet (that's across the corridor) if your a family the last thing you want to see is a family member in the shower cubicle! The bed sheets I don't think they were changed since the previous occupants, there... More

Probably the worst nights sleep I have ever had. The room was disgusting, the decor and furniture have so obviously not been updated for YEARS, there was a stale smell as soon as you reached the top of the stairs. The toilets were down the corridor and pretty dingy, Iv traveled a lot and have stayed in hostels that have... More

This must be the worst hotel in the world, next door to a homeless hostel which you get regular visits from people from there asking and begging for cigarettes and money. The rooms are terrible i will just say a dog kennel would be cleaner and more higeinic without any mice. The meals all i will say is that the... More

I would not recommend this place particularly for families with children. We found it so terrible we did not bother to stay the night and left soon after checking in. It was smelly and very smoky despite clear signs stating it was a smoke free hotel. Our family suite was a dingy cold room with a shower cubicle in the... More

I booked a last minuet room as they were the only hotel on the hagley road in my price range that still had vaccancies. I paid £25 for a very small single room. The room had a stale smell and the furnishings were VERY outdated, poor quality and mismatched. The TV was a very old box set with a plug... More

I do not know what it is like to stay in this hotel but I often go for carvery here. The carvery is a little over four pounds (even on sundays) and is one of the best carveries in terms of quality and choice. Amazing value and the staff are friendly and chatty. Cheap and cheerful!
