I stayed here for one night to attend Crufts. Fabulous building, and just minutes from the NEC. Breakfast was enjoyable, and our room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and gave great advice on the best way to get into the NEC.

Needed a cheap stay for one night travelling north and this came up. 4 rather than 5 stars as we really only used the room and no other facility. Lovely room and bathroom. Plenty of room, well appointed and nice bathroom. Would readily stay again. Great curry house down the road ( Kismet) recommended by receptionist if you do not... More

On approach at the bottom of the drive, we were greeted by a rubbish dump. There were old mattresses pieces of furniture and general rubbish the sight was appalling. The hotel facade was stunning, it was everything I was expecting, but the grounds seem to have been forgotten, with very few flowers in sight and an overgrown lawn. The main... More

I've stayed here on business for the past 3 years. Whilst the service is really good, food lovely, great bar area, bedrooms comfy and the gardens gorgeous the reason why I couldnt give it an extra star is due to a couple of things that if sorted would make such a difference to this establishment. The reception area does needs a... More

Arrived at night, address wasn't correct on website, hotel not well signed or lit. A little spooky looking. Construction going on inside, lift not working. Room not what was expected, I booked a superior room , which this was NOT superior, after settling in, noticed a mouse darting all over the floor. The night staffed moved us to a different... More

Stayed here for 3 nights over our honeymoon. The room was lovely although the staff were a little rude at times. Also one of our windows did not close properly so let in a lot of cold air into the bedroom. We stayed in the brewery part of the hotel and found it a little hard to find at first,... More

Rustic "retreat" close to the hustle and bustle of the motorways etc. We spent a long lunch catching up with old friends. This place is ideal for that - the dining room is large and one feels you have it to one's self. The food is decent although it should be better. Friendly decent service. It was great for what... Arrived at Castle Bromwich Hall at 2.30pm and we had afternoon tea booked for 3.00pm for 10 people. We were promptly shown to a private room which was called "the library" which had a large round table set out for us. Our waitress then came in with pots of tea and coffee and then a few minutes later the afternoon... More

We were on a "groupon" afternoon tea at this lovely 17th century building which is now a hotel. We were welcomed by the friendly staff and took our tea in a lovely traditional dining room. pristine white tablecloths . We had a pot of tea and cafetiere of coffee served with a large plate of several variety of sandwich followed... More

I think the hotel is a lovely setting with nice grounds. We stayed here one night but did not eat here as bham city centre is so close. The room was nice and spacious and a really nice view. I do think the customer service needs improving and I found the receptionist quite lazy and disinterested.
