Brought as a treat for my mums bday, wish I'd have spent an extra £5 and taken a trip into bham city centre to Hotel La Tour where I would have guaranteed great service & good food. Walked into the hall to be advised by the receptionist to take a seat "anywhere ya like, someone will sort you out" so... More

We were on a "groupon" afternoon tea at this lovely 17th century building which is now a hotel. We were welcomed by the friendly staff and took our tea in a lovely traditional dining room. pristine white tablecloths . We had a pot of tea and cafetiere of coffee served with a large plate of several variety of sandwich followed... More

I think the hotel is a lovely setting with nice grounds. We stayed here one night but did not eat here as bham city centre is so close. The room was nice and spacious and a really nice view. I do think the customer service needs improving and I found the receptionist quite lazy and disinterested.

There were 5 of us that went here for afternoon tea. Was expensive and over priced at £14 per person. Was told we could have as much tea and coffee as we liked but once the first pot of tea and coffee was brought out the waitress then disappeared until she brought out the sandwiches and cakes. Was not given... More

This was a surprise for my wife as it was our 24th wedding anniversary, all she was told was to pack an overnight bag. On arrival check in was simple and efficient, I had pre-booked a superior room, this turned out to be on the top floor in the old building. The room was clean, bright, tidy and more spacious... More

This is a wonderful hotel, lovely clean rooms, bedding, towels, bathrooms etc. The staff were very helpful (all of them), the scenery is great, the daily clean linen a bonus. My only fault with it was the twin beds. It was like sleeping on boards all night. We were staying in the annex rooms in a twin room. The beds... More

We booked an overnight stay on a Saturday and arrived around 3pm, free on site parking which is a bonus as many charge extra for it. Lovely place nice reception staff and we were given the key card to our room. We paid an extra few quid for a superior room which is located inside the main building and not... More

The overall experience of this place was very positive. We were lucky enough to get a special deal on the bridal suite which had the 4 poster bed and a huge bathroom. An amazing room that overlooked the beautiful grounds. Staff were generally pleasant however, this was a different matter at breakfast. There seemed to be only one waiter serving... More

I booked a night at the hotel as it looked like a lovely venue and I thought it would offer a welcome change of scenery from two days at the NEC. The total lack of interest shown by the staff was incredible. The 3 evening staff were focusing on anything but the guests, this destroyed the effort put in by... More

Check in was efficient without warmth or real welcome, no offer to assist with luggage to second floor with many stairs to get there. The bathroom was small and the room size was compromised by the bathroom for the room next door cutting into what would have been the original space of the room. This also proved to be noisy... More
