Oh my, where do I start. Drove down from Leeds, with some friends to attend a concert. Chose this hotel because it was close to where we were going. Booked online, looked lovely. Walked into reception, lovely warm welcome. Really pleasent and friendly staff. Nice lobby. Very clean. Given keys for our rooms, went in the lift to the 2nd floor, lift opened... More

Stayed two nights to attend a family wedding. Room was fine if a little worn, bed hard but still slept ok. Did not eat there as when we looked in at the bar restaurant at 7.30 pm it was completely empty! We took this as a sign and went elsewhere. The staff were helpful and friendly. Overall good value for... More

Friends and I stayed at the Campanile when we came up to Birmingham to watch the Ashes and found it ideal for our requirements. We were greeted by a very friendly, accommodating receptionist, who found somewhere to store our stuff while we were at the cricket, booked a taxi for us and told us there was a 24-hour reception so... I've stayed in quite a few hotels in my time, and when I stayed at the Campanile i was looking to have a quiet retreat just for the weekend away from home, but near to a City, I chose this hotel as I had been here twice before, I was happy to say that there hasn't been much change in... More

Excellent staff, very helpful, romms to a good standard, and cleaned properly. Bar staff are very helpful, the hotel is located by the canal a nice walk along the canal and 15 minutes you arrive at the bullring. I will certainly use this on my next visit

Booked up for one night as I was meeting friends for food and drinks in the town centre. Didn't expect much from the room as it was a cheap booking. It did the job for the night though. The room was a bit tired and could have done with being updated and having a bit of TLC but it was... More

This hotel is hands down the worst I have EVER stayed in. Me and my fiancé travel a lot and frequently stay in hotels both chain and independent on weekends. This was without a doubt our worst night, I didn't even want to give it any rating. Firstly we arrived after a sport tournament on Saturday to enjoy a restful... More

The photos suggested a quiet hotel overlooking a canal......yes, there was a canal but it felt like it was in an industrial estate. Inside the decor was tired and cheap and predominantly grey?! Room was basic but the surprise was the food, the evening meal was very impressive and just about saved the campanile from scoring a 1.

Quiet place and nice people, good for a rest after a busy day. You get clean room, good food, I can even recommend the grill. Haven't been much around the place, but you can find a Tesco express walking through the Ashton's University Park, and I think it could be a nice walk on a sunny day
