I am writing in disgust of my stolen camera from this hotel. I left my camera in the room when vacating, when I realised I had left my camera I phoned the hotel to ask for it to be sent back, they stated that they would speak to house keeping and get back to me. I then phoned the following... more

The hotel is not city centre however it's just £6.50 in a taxi to the centre. It's only £6 to Birmingham or Villa's ground also. The hotel was in a quiet area and the staff were excellent. Nightlife in Birmingham is first class. The hotel was just £30 non-cancellation pre-booking. It's worth it for that alone. There was a bar... more

My take on Campanile is that it is a budget hotel competing with Travelodge and Premier Inn. The Birmingham Campanile has a charm to it, located by a canal, providing a nice view from the bedroom. The bed is very comfortable, as are the pillows. There is also free car parking - a real bonus in Birmingham. I have stayed... more

Stayed one night while in Birmingham for a football match. Rooms spacious and beds very comfortable, bathroom very clean. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Well located only a couple of miles from the city centre and Villa Park as well as Aston Hall. Taxis are easy to get and cheap due to good location of hotel. Surrounding area nothing... more

When booking two nights at this hotel for a Xmas shopping trip we were lucky enough to secure a special promotional price of just £1 per room per night. I am not sure that I understand the business reasons behind charging such a low room rate (surely people would be just as happy to pay £10 a night?) but we... more

Stayed here for a Saturday night and impressed for my £25 (seemed too cheap to be true for Birmingham). It's more like a Premier Inn than a Travelodge (eg has hairdryer, biscuits on the tea/coffee tray and amusingly, a bottle opener attached to the wardrobe). Could do with a lick of paint, but a very pleasant stay and about 15min... more

The WIFI had a very bad connection and sometimes the connection failed. The promotion with the free WIFI access is inappropriate with a connection like that. In the bathroom was mildew in some areas because it is neccessary to leave the door closed while having a shower so that the fire alarm will not be activated . The drain of... more

Spent two nights here a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are a bit basic but clean and functional. The restaurant is very good, the prices cheap and access to central Birmingham is about 5 mins by taxi. A good base for a city break I'd say. more

stayed at this hotel for only one night and was fairly impressed although the room was maybe a little tired looking and could do with a fresh lick of paint, it was clean and had all the nessacary facilities, The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was good with a wide choice, I also ate in the restaurant in... more

We chose this hotel when we were going to a show at the NEC, and were quite happy with it. We thought it good value for the money. The triple room had a proper bed for my son (rather than a pull out sofa thing which they have at Travelodges). It was conveniently located, within walking distance of the Bullring... more
