My wife and I took advantage of another Groupon deal to sample 'A taste of French Cuisine' at the Campanile Hotel & Restaurant in Birmingham. Our deal allowed us to both have a Starter and Main Course each from the French Menu Choice. We were dissappointed to find that 2 of the 6 starters offered 'were not available' (namely the... More

We stayed at the Campanile last weekend and found it not a bad place to stay. I agree with some of the comments that the rooms are basic but for what you pay there pretty reasonable. The room we stayed in was clean as was the bathroom with plenty of fresh towels to be had. The staff that dealt with... More

Attending a four day conference I booked the Camponile as it was far cheaper than anywhere else. Although the booking was a double room for 2 with breakfast, the actual booking only included continental breakfast for one! As I was a solo traveller this did not bother me The location of the hotel is awful, yes it is canalside, but... More

I booked this hotel with my partner as we needed somewhere cheap to stay on New Years Eve. We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a miserable woman on the reception desk. She struggled to find our reservation however luckily we had a printed receipt with our reservation number. We were finally escorted to our room which was... More

Very reasonably priced, clean comfortable rooms. Restaurant convenient but not particulary good though varied menu. Substantial breakfast. More

I did enjoy staying at this hotel while on Business in Birmingham. It has free WiFi which is important but also an excellent breakfast. It is on the banks of a canal and I did enjoy to take a little stroll along the canal footpath as well as see the boats on the canal. It is central to Birmingham but... More

OK - firstly, I think it important that I scotch a few of the comments on here: to the person who said the place was rife with hen parties: well yes, I'm sure they do go there, but who can blame them at the prices the hotel charge. If you want a place free from Hen or Stag Parties, pay... More

stayed for 2 nights and was glad to leave. rooms very small, had twin room on 1st floor overlooking the canal. bathroom ok but could have been improved by a lick of paint plus side shower was very powerful and water hot. had meal on Friday night, what a mistake, not a good choice and very overpriced for what it... I paid £29 for this hotel on laterooms including a continental breakfast so wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. It's not the most modern hotel but is clean, the bed's comfy, friendly / helpful staff, free wi-fi and plenty of free parking. It's definitely a taxi ride into Birmingham city centre which was £7 each way. If you have... More
