Stayed one night on business and was a little apprehensive after reading the latest reviews. However, my experience was not as bad as some reviews suggest, and on arrival I found the staff at reception to be pleasant. The room was quite small and the decor was rudimentary - reminding me of an old army barracks, but it was clean... More

I would never consider going back there even if I was a 'mystery shopper' and was being paid to be there. There is a awful smell follows you around the "hotel" and the bathroom is not only the worst area of the smell but there was mould and clearly other people's hair almost everywhere. The bed is on wheels and... More

This is the worst hotel, I wouldnt stay there again even for free. The room has a lingering smell that sticks to the back of your throat. bathroom dirty and mouldy with hair on walls and floor. The bed is on wheels and moves at the slightest touch. Not to mention the uncomrtable mattress and smelly pillows. The staff were... More

Believe me, this place is worse than woeful. The management need shooting for allowing staff to act in the way they do. Absolute indifference towards the guests, the reception couldn't be ruder if she tried. The mattress must have been bought off a big issue seller. One plug in the bedroom behind the tv. Hasn't the Campanile heard of mobile... More

The rooms were tiny but this was expected as the price was very cheap, however I did not expect to have to call in about four (seemingly) successful times to ask the staff to report back to me about an expensive item I had left behind. One receptionist made me feel reassured by promising to call me back and let... More

Arriving early evening 19th Jan 2016, we would have liked a half decent welcome on arrival - instead we got a stone faced female receptionist who was adamant she wasn't going give a welcoming smile...3 times she asked me who I was/which company I was with .....that was the start of a poor stay. We ate out of the hotel... More

The hotel is a bit outside of the city centre, which is no problem due to good taxi connections (5 pund in the city centre). Unfortunately, the staff didn't seem motivated all the time. The breakfast wasn't good, no warm meals and not a big choice. However, the dinner was good, we liked it. The room is good, but we... More

Stayed here on NYE. The location and price was great. Excellent value for money. Free parking which was a bonus and the lady on reception was lovely and very helpful. For the price you cannot complain. It was clean, rooms had everything you need including hairdryer , tv etc. There is a charge for wifi but not relevant to us... More

Bed worst I've ever come across in a hotel - like lying on a metal wrack - painful springs everywhere. Have stayed in Campaniles all over Europe & think they're great so thought I could trust the brand - this Campanile was awful. Not only dreadful bed - walls paper thin & internal access doors banding all night as people... More

One would call it a back packers not a hotel, rooms that you can hear the neighbours through the wall, broken taps, table in room damaged, one pillow. In the bar the cider was flat, then breaky - burnt croissants, yoghurt gone off it was that old, toast was old, bowls of fruit etc looked like it has been there... More
