Stayed here for a Saturday night and impressed for my £25 (seemed too cheap to be true for Birmingham). It's more like a Premier Inn than a Travelodge (eg has hairdryer, biscuits on the tea/coffee tray and amusingly, a bottle opener attached to the wardrobe). Could do with a lick of paint, but a very pleasant stay and about 15min... more

The WIFI had a very bad connection and sometimes the connection failed. The promotion with the free WIFI access is inappropriate with a connection like that. In the bathroom was mildew in some areas because it is neccessary to leave the door closed while having a shower so that the fire alarm will not be activated . The drain of... more

Spent two nights here a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are a bit basic but clean and functional. The restaurant is very good, the prices cheap and access to central Birmingham is about 5 mins by taxi. A good base for a city break I'd say. more

stayed at this hotel for only one night and was fairly impressed although the room was maybe a little tired looking and could do with a fresh lick of paint, it was clean and had all the nessacary facilities, The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was good with a wide choice, I also ate in the restaurant in... more

We chose this hotel when we were going to a show at the NEC, and were quite happy with it. We thought it good value for the money. The triple room had a proper bed for my son (rather than a pull out sofa thing which they have at Travelodges). It was conveniently located, within walking distance of the Bullring... more

Yep, a budget hotel, but does what it says on the tin. Good 3-for-2 night rate. Room (overlooking part of the canal system) was quiet, clean and comfortable. The hotel is on the edge of an industrial area, right on the Ring Road and well placed for Aston Uni (10 mins walk) and the city centre/museum/theatres and Bullring (20 mins... more

A little bit out of town, but still within 15 / 20 minutes walk or £7 / 8 in a taxi, this hotel offers fantastic value for money and offers decent rooms, nice bar and friendly staff for the price. If you are on a tight budget this is the place to stay in Birmingham ! more

I only needed a bed for one night and this was pretty good value at only £35 (special offer for December). The room was OK and reasonably comfortable though the fittings are showing their age a bit. I also happen to have the buffet lunch at the hotel every now and again so can say that the staff are nearly... more

Stayed for one night, while attending a show at NIA. Check - in was a nightmare, they couldn't find our reservation, and I think the receptionist that served us was new (and foreign) so it was a bit of a struggle, and after 3 hours of driving we just wanted to check in! anyway we got sorted and were directed... more

This hotel looks great from the outside and the reception and public areas are of a good standard. The parking is secure, more than adequate for the number of guests and free. The non-smoking rooms need upgrading, but they are clean and more than adequate for the price. Comfy bed and duvet, extra blankets and pillows. The bar seating area is... more
