I reluctantly booked the Travelodge, only because most other hotels and appartments in Birmingham were fully booked for the 3 nights that I needed accommodation. I was expecting a speelpless 3 nights in a grubby room, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is reasonably new and centrally located, but don't expect scenic views - the surrounding area is very rough... More

It was absolutely disgraceful...stayed there for 3 nights during my exam period and was extremely disappointed. The room was dirty, the carpet had not been hoovered, the sheets were stained, the towels were dirty and so was the bathroom and it smelt of dampness. On the first night I split some tea on the quilt cover..the next day I went... More

One of the main draws to this hotel is it's location. It is located right on Broad Street, in a central location. And is within easy walking distance to 5 Ways and the NEC. Unfortunatley, this is also a drawback on Friday and Saturday evenings, as it has a lot of pubs on it's doorstep, and is on one of... More

We booked a family room for 1 night for 3 girls to see a concert in town. After reading the very bad negative reviews, I was very anxious about staying here and was tempted to book something else but my friends said to give it go as it was only 1 night and we did only pay £19. The room... More

Rooms are a cross between a prison cell and an NHS ward, very impersonal service, I got my keys from a vending machine! Most Travelodges are at least clean, this room was far from that. The shower was a joke, I would have got wetter by using the sink, however I avoided that as it hadn't been cleaned in a... More

Went to watch a band with my friend. Good location, basic but you can't complain as it was a bargain at only £10! More

I stayed here as it was close to the ICC at which I was attending a conference. I normally stay in the Ibis, and the price was similar so I chose the Travelodge. I will not be staying here again. Nor will I chose Travelodge again. The first room I was given was stinking of damp and freezing, I went... More

Hotel is acceptable if you get a cheap deal and only staying one night but it is very tired and in need of a complete overhaul. Worst Travelodge I have stayed in for cleanliness and fixtures and fittings. Too many other nicer hotels with similar prices on the same street. However staff that I did meet were friendly and helpful,... More

Awful awful place. The favellas in Mexico will be better conditions than this. I am too angry to even bother listing the many things wrong with this prison like hell hole. I would have gone to reception to complain about the lack of bedsheets (yes bedsheets) in my room bit there never seemed to be anyone there. I do use... More

The usual basic accommodation from Travelodge, very well placed for an evenings entertainment. You wouldn't want to plan on spending much time in your room but there's plenty to do on your doorstep anyway. So a cost effective room for an overnight stay. More
