Got a good deal and it served it's purpose of somewhere to just sleep. However make sure you ask for a room on the road otherwise if on the canal side, you will be disturbed quite late by late night revellers. Parking also was available on street and in the Mailbox which were both expensive.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my sister to go to NIA. Perfect location for NIA, Restaurants, Shopping, and only a short walk from the New Street Rail Station. Room fair a little tired, clean bedding and towels. Shower Cream and Hand Cream on the walls, but extremely hard to push and get soap, would recommend you take your own,... More

Pre arrival the hotel were very helpful & attentive , the location of the hotel on arrival was impressive especially the rooms overlooking the canalside & we were dining at the Miller & Carter restaurant which was directly underneath ...after reading reviews I was expecting a dump but it was absolutely fine , our bedroom was furnished to a high... I've slept on floors which were more comfortable than the king sized bed (lumpy rocks)! The entire hotel smelt like wet dog or mould, which was horrible! The rooms were nothing special at all and for about £120 a night for a week day night it was a massive rip off! I was hugely disappointed!

Was worried when I booked this hotel as I got at a bargain - thought it would be too good to be true, but actually - it was true! the location was perfect as I was out with friend for the evening. Parking at the mailbox was plentiful and the hotel gives you a discount. The rooms were clean and... More

The Good - Reception & Bar areas are nice, friendly staff, all very pleasant. Situated in a beautiful area by the canal & has some lovely restaurants nearby. The Bad – The corridors are a mess, gaffer tape holding down the carpets, fixtures and fittings coming off the walls. Terrible constant humming noise from the boiler/generators (4th floor), could still... More

The location of the hotel is just great. In the Mailbox with plenty of good restaurants and atmosphere. While some of my fellow travellers complained that their rooms were very cold (and even an extra heater did not help) I had no such experience. The bed was very soft, but I slept just fine. The interior can definitely use some... More

What a shocker this place is. Situated above a dozen restaurants and bars it's slightly quieter than sleeping rough in Piccadilly but not as clean! Black mould all over the shower, dubious stains on the carpet and curtains, the carpet in the corridors is hilariously lumpy and ill-fitting. I've stopped in Ramada hotels before and they've been good 3 star... More

The good things first. Location is excellent right next to the Mailbox with loads of great shopping and restaurants nearby. The staff and welcome are fine. The bad? The hotel is tired and really needs some investment. The carpets in the hallways have been gaffer taped together which looks awful. My room was clean but the furniture was scuffed and... More

Fantastic location but other than that the hotel doesn't have anything going for it. I stayed in the Ramada for two weeks on business (in two different rooms). The reception staff were helpful but the restaurant staff were often rude and I heard them talking about guests while trying to eat. The rooms were dated and the bathrooms both had... More
