I chose this hotel because of its location which didn't disappoint. We were close to all the bars and restaurants and our room overlooked the water which was nice. Because of the proximity there were a lot of people staying there on nights out as we were but we found people to be inconsiderate of others when coming in blasting... More

Hotel is in a great location..next door to the mailbox, a very short walk from the conference quarter. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. But it can be quite hard to find, I didn't see any signage and the modest hotel frontage is rather eclipsed by all the other bar/restaurant signage in the area, Hotel itself is fine: comfortable, spacious... I arrived late, in the rain and really struggled to find the entrance for this hotel. Once in my room, at 9.31 I phoned for room service only to be told that there wears on light snack after 930! The room needed some maintenance but had a brilliant view of the canals. There was no wifi in my room although... More

I booked this last minute, and after reading some reviews my expectations were not high. However the staff were very friendly, and the room was serviceable for my one night stay. There was no air conditioning, however you could open the window and a fan was provided so the room was comfortable (no worse than being at home). The decor... More

This is the third time we have stayed here as always been good, but this time I felt a bit let down. The location is great, the room was a bit of a let down. The hair dryer was missing off the wall which was a disappointment as I hadn't brought mine. The room itself was really hot, no air... More

The first battle is trying to find the hotel. There are no signs from the mailbox car park, so we had to phone the concierge who was very helpful. The room was clean and simple, no carpets, air con or hairdryers for example. The phone by the bedside was just for show, it was not connected to the wall. They... More

Stayed with two colleagues for two nights whilst at conference. Several issues I'm afraid. One of the two lifts stops randomly between floors so use the stairs. Get to breakfast early - there aren't enough tables for the number of customers. At breakfast there aren't enough staff on. You'll either get ignored or get asked 3 times in 60 seconds... More

If you enter the hotel from the Commercial street side, it's a bit of a badly-signed maze - and that's just to get to reception! It's also a bit of an adventure getting from the parking in The Mailbox to the hotel, again down to poor signage. The Ramada isn't even listed on the extensive signage next to the lifts.... More

We booked this last minute as wanted to stay in town overnight as apposed to paying for taxis there and back. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the Mailbox next to the canal. The reception area is lovely and modern and staff v friendly, however once you want past reception, the rest of the hotel is somewhat... More
