Ramada is located in Birmingham city-centre beside the canal. Rooms are large, well appointed; internet access, widescreen tv, trouser-press, tea/coffee making facilities. However, no air-conditioning, no in-room safety deposit box. Bathroom was large with good power-shower,topnotch cosmetics and quality towels...no shower caps. Restaurant represents great value. I highly recommend the full English cooked breakfast; high quality food, well prepared. Dinner is also... more

Very centrally located in the Mail Box development in the city, right on the canal. Close to Broad Street, ICC, NIA, New Street station, Bull Ring, markets and other shopping areas. A pleasant hotel where its location is the hotels best asset close to just about anything in the city . The hotel has a restaurant but this does not... more

Having booked this hotel as 'better than budget' I was surprised at how small and cramped the room was. I've stayed in bigger Travelodge type rooms for far less money! There were no spare pillows (just one each on the bed) and the bedding looked decidedly grubby. Mascara and makeup marks on the dressing table left from a previous guest.... more

Stayed here for 2 nights, and enjoyed the overall experience. The rooms are nothing special, just simple and clean, with fairly modern furnishings. The hotel itself is slap bang in the middle of the Mailbox complex, surrounded by up market shops, bars and restaurants, all of which get very busy and very noisy during the summer period, with people spilling... more

Stayed here with a group of friends in January as we went to see a show. There were 12 of us and we were all given twin rooms along the same corridor which was great. All the rooms were clean and spacious, quite basic but adequate. I noticed that the room got quite hot when the radiators came on in... more

Being in the city centre, I thought this hotel would be easy to find but, whilst the location was great the sign for the hotel was tiny - only because I'd been told where to look by a security guard did I find it. But it is only about a 10 minute walk max from Birmingham New Street (non-main exit).... more

A group of us recently stayed for 2 nights for a stag and also the UFC event in the NIA. The hotel was excellently located, right in the canal section of the city, with all the trendy restaurants and bars. Just 5min walk from Broad street and a 10 min walk from the NIA made this hotel ideal for us.... more

The location of this hotel - walking distance to the city center, in the snazzy, reborn center of Birmingham right by the fashionable shops and canals - is first rate. The staff were wonderful and the chef's food in the evening quite excellent. BUT - no baths, strangely spotty TV, no radio and IMPOSSIBLY noisy. The hotel is part of... more

Very nice hotel especially when you consider I got a double room for €80/room/night. Brilliant location beside canal. Loads of nice restaraunts and bars outside the door and a nice walk along the canal leads to more of the same. This area of Birmingham seems to have been redeveloped recently and looks fantastic, and this will only improve in the... more
