It's quite sad to see this hotel in such a poorly maintained state. This hotel has a great location with lots of lovely places to eat, drink and relax in. The room we had was spacious but the mattress was very uncomfortable (needs replacing/springs etc), there was dust in some areas that should have been cleaned and I could see... More

Hotel has a great location right in the centre of the Mailbox. The place itself is dearly in need of updating. The carpets are grim, the decor needs updating. The shower cubicle and bathroom needed a good deep clean but was ok. The shower tray filled up to overflowing as the plug needed unblocking. A double room was booked but... More

I managed to get a really good price for a three night stay and as I was on business, it did the job. However, if I was to book this hotel for leisure, I would have been seriously disappointed. The public areas of the hotel downstairs were ok. However, once you get into the corridors and rooms that is a... More

We stayed at the ramada mailbox on a saturday night. Discount on parking 15% with disc from reception. Friendly staff on front desk. Our room was on 2nd floor. clean roomy and comfortable. Window was far too small for room. Quite hot in room, especially overnight. Bathroom ok. clean. The corridors were quite narrow and the carpets held together with... More

I stayed here on business, the only reason this gets 2 not one was the staff who were friendly and helpful, the room was very tired, there was a big hole in the wall that had been badly filled, the iron in my room was a hazard and I had to screw the plug back together!! There was mould all... More

Booked the ramada as generally good value for money! This hotel is disgusting to say the least! Carpets badly fitted and dirty and very stained! Beds are so uncomfortable, floor would be better to sleep on, oh but you wouldn't want to lie on the carpet! Room very noisy and smelt of smoke! Only plus is the location! Give this... More

Having read several poor recent reviews, we were slightly apprehensive about staying here. However, our stay was comfortable and we found the staff very helpful. Although the interior is tired and in need of updating we have no complaints. Be aware, though, that there is no wifi available beyond the foyer. If you need a perfectly comfortable place to lay... We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and got a room overlooking the canal. The room smelt of wee and the hairdryer didnt work. The walls were patched up in a different colour paint. Our son stopped in the room next door and he had blood up the walls. If your a light sleeper dont get a room at... More

Hotel lobby is modern, but not the rooms or facilities. Bed was more than used, stains of whatever...I don't want to know. Under the bed I could see what the fellow before me forgot. And yes you need a extra arm to push your bags or trolley on the very old and wavy carpets on the floor. Some are flicked... More

Great location for a good range of bars, restaurants and shopping. But in need of a refurb, thread bear carpets. Never the less comfortable and spotless. Ignoring the carpets and it was a bargain. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
