My husband and I chose the Ramada as the location is fantastic (just behind the Mailbox) and we got a really good price for a Saturday night through bookings.com. On arrival, we were given a double room overlooking the canal, which we had asked for, but upon entering the room, the smell of smoke was quite powerful and the window... More

It may offer reasonable value but there are other places cheaper and on par price wise that won't leave you feeling like you need a shower after staying there. General run down in all areas, carpet peeling up and duct taped down, holes in carpets and upholstery, dust and stains on furniture and chairs and conspicuous stains just about everywhere.... More

Booked 6 months in advance and got a great deal, should have known it was too good to be true! The room stunk of cigarettes, it made me feel sick. We left the balcony door open and came back a few hours later armed with air freshener. The carpet in the hallway downstairs was secured with electrical tape and there... More

If you are only looking for somewhere to crash after a night out, then the hotel will do the job. It was on offer when we booked but would not pay full price. No Air-con, had to ask for fan and towels. Did not have hot water on Sunday morning before check out.

I stayed overnight on business and loved the location, loads to do, loads to eat etc. The manager (Karen I believe) was really friendly and helpful as were the rest of her team. Possibly the comfiest bed ever and everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was brilliant too so all in all, would definitely come back again, great work... More

I was rather worried about this hotel having read other reviews, so fortunately it was better than I anticipated. I had a nice view across the canal with the restaurants and bars below but there was inevitably quite a lot of noise up until about mid night as a result. The furnishings are quite tatty and the bed too soft... More

The reception staff were very polite and efficient when checking in. My two night stay went without a hitch and I found the room clean and bed comfortable. It is located near a variety of bars and eateries and a short walk along the canal side brought me to even more at Broad street. New street train station is only... More

The location is definitely the best thing about this hotel, it is perfect, right above all the bars and restaurants at the trendy Mailbox. Although the hotel is situated above bars and restaurants there is no noise coming from below and didn't get woken up once on either of our stays there. Yes the hotel could do with a little... More

Stayed 2 nights here on Business. I did read on the Hotel website it was 20 pound for parking overnight so i parked on the started which was an inconvenience. It is awkward to find the entrance as its more like a cafe entrance, well there is a Starbucks in reception so maybe that justifies that. My room was fine,... More
