Our stay was one night following a gig at the O2. From the reviews I read I was expecting some half fallen down hell hole - however, I paid £50 and knew it was in a great spot - so for somewhere to rest our heads following the gig, it seemed like it was worth giving a go. When we... More

We stayed here as part of our visit to the city to see the Yonex Badminton Champinships. The hotel is competitively priced with a good breakfast (book when you check in as it will only cost £10) and a great location in the Canal district of Birmingham. It is part of the Mailbox centre and there is loads of secure... More

Two night stay for a business trip. First room we were put in stank of cigarettes. So we asked to move to nonsmoking rooms. After some confusion with reception we were moved to fresher rooms. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was ok, slightly surly waitress who forgot to bring our teas and coffees and told me to fetch my... More

Great location with shopping and restaurants, quite well situated. Facilities nice enough but our bed was awful! I didnt sleep on night 1 and had sore back next day. Also as we have never been to Birmingham before we didnt find the front door very easily!! Walked right tge way round the building. Ok for price but wouldn't return.

We stayed in the Ramada last week while visiting the Cheltenham racing festival. The hotel is well located - a short walk along the towpath brings you into Broad St in a few minutes. On arrival we were checked in promptly and directed to our room on the 4th floor. The room was a good size, well cleaned with tea and coffee-maker,good strong... More

We stayed at the Ramada Hotel as it was central to our needs. Just ten minutes away from New Street Station and on the edge of the shopping centre. We were disappointed that the Mailbox was mainly closed for renovations but managed to find plenty of other things to do. Sadly the hotel only supports WiFi on the ground floor... More

We had booked a room to spend 3 nights at Christmas at the Ramada in Sutton Coldfield, and found a great deal on Booking.com..and booked it 9 months in advance. The booking did state that my card would not be charged until the duration of our stay, but I have been burnt by these sort of booking agents before so... More

We loved this hotel and have tried to return several times but it's always full! Our room looked out over the canal and we were right above the bars and restaurants yet couldn't hear them at all at bedtime when we closed the balcony door. Starbucks in the reception and walking distance to everything by using the towpath. Perfect!

We usually book a Premier Inn when we travel around the country, but often they are quite expensive so we opt for something different. I know Birmingham quite well and given that we were in town for a concert at the NIA I thought a hotel in the Mailbox would be a great place to base ourselves. Unfortunately this hotel... More
