Have stayed at City Inn once before a few years ago and was very happy with accomodation then, so was pleased to see that the standards had'nt dropped and was very happy with accomodation. Stayed in a twin room which was spotless. Nice to find furnishing not marked and dirty, as in some UK hotels I've stayed in! Rooms also... more

I often book weekends away with my partner and City Inn has been our favourite. It is located in the heart of Birmingham, and not far from all local attractions. Staff are friendly and the rooms are pleasant, and of a good size. The Mac computer they provide is useful, however sometimes I wished the screen was bigger, for when... more

I stayed at the City Inn for a week on business. I was pleased with the hotel, it was modern which I prefer to traditional (old) style hotels. It was tidy, staff friendly, sheltered car park 2 mins away. I thought the room was quite small but it was nice and comfortable, bed was a decent size. The best thing... more

This hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the National indoor arena. Also an easy 10 -15 minute walk to Birmingham's main shopping drag and Bull Ring centre. The room was really clean. With tea & coffee making facilities. Plus mini bar and cork screw. Applemac for tv and free internet use was brilliant to search out local information.... more

Stayed here on a Friday night after going to a concert at the Town Hall. It's handilly placed for the big venues in town and Brindley Place is on the doorstep for bars and restaurants. The Mailbox is well worth the 10 minute walk along the canal as on a Friday at 6pm that was a bit quiter and easier... more

I booked directly through the City Inn website which was actually cheaper than any of the other websites I tried. I got an £85 Saturday night deal called Late Saturdays and Lazy Sundays. It said Champagne and canapes on arrival and a late 4pm check out. I checked in after about a 10 minute wait at reception and was handed... more

Did a one night stay for my birthday with wife to take in Bullring by day and Mailbox/Brindley by night. Room was excellent - spacious, very clean, modern, air con, good shower and the Apple Mac with free internet access was an amazing addition. Hotel is in a lovely location, a quiet area at the back of Brindley Place /... more

This hotel was in a great position and I was staying there on a business trip. It was only a few minutes walk from the ICC and canal surrounded by lovely bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and professional, particularly the bar staff in the evening who were very knowledgable about the different rums they offered (!) and the... more

This hotel has an excellent situation close to the centre, and close to several restaurants and shops. Would recommend to anyone. Rooms had Apple Macs and cotton robes - what more could you ask for?! more

we stayed here for 1 night in june having never stayed in a city inn before. We did think upon entering the room that it was on the small side ( we are used to travelling to the states which doesnt help ) however we soon realised that the room was very functional and the size did not matter, everything... more
