Budget hotels in the last 20 years have moved on greatly, this hotel has not moved with the times. Rooms were basic, run down and very worn! In need of much refurbishment. The rooms were not pleasant to stay. In addition, there was just one plug in the room. With modern life with laptops & mobile phones this is not... More

This was booked via a corporate booking agent, and the price paid was over £80, at a place that advertises rooms for £46 upwards. This is not actually even a hotel, but a cheap motel. The rooms are small and cramped, and heating is via old fashioned wall heaters. There is no sound proofing whatsoever, meaning that I know exactly... More

My wife and I wanted a relatively inexpensive Saturday-night stay in Birmingham in order to see a performance at the Birmingham Hippodrome and according to the map the location of this Ibis hotel (with its ample parking) seemed to be ideal. It is about a 5-6 walk from the Hippodrome and the Bullring. Besides, we are fans of the Ibis... More

Me and my partner have just been to the ibis for 2nights we are aged 24 and 25 and really enjoyed our stay, the rooms were basic but clean and we had our towels changed after the first night. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and its it a good location only 10minute walk to the Bullring and centre... More

Just had a one night stay here. The hotel is ideally situated just a few minutes walk from the city Centre and brilliant if you are going to a gig in the o2 academy. On arrival the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable even if they are like chalets, seemed strange at first but no complaints. They are good value... Being on Ibis' mailing list was a great help in deciding where to stay near central Birmingham. The Irving street hotel was on offer as a pay for two nights & stay for three so....... Check in was very efficient and all was explained well. We paid for the secure parking at £3 per day. Given that we had a... More

Just enjoyed a three night stay ,in town for Christmas Markets and a Show. The forbidding exterior soon became history as we walked in to be greeted by a smart smiling young lady who proceeded to check us in and provide us with all relevant information. The Motel style chalet room with its large comfy bed and large T V was... More

Normally wouldn't write a review for a chain hotel but felt compelled to this time becasue of the food... On arrival at Hotel Ibis Irving Street we had to pay £3 for parking which seemed a little odd as there was ample parking space available. The room was pretty small but OK for what was required. The staff were friendly... More
