Quite simply the most horrible Hotel experience I have ever had. Apart from the ground floor area the place was very poorly repaired and presented. Rooms were dirty and dreadfully furnished, the bedding smelled and so did the shower. TV was minute but didn't work anyway. WiFi was off which was a major problem. The water was hot - scalding... more

This hotel should be closed down immediately. We stayed in room 48, and after walking into reception and oohing and ahhing about how lovely it was, we were in for quite a slap in the face when we opened the door to our bedroom. The decor was incredibly old and dated, just orange paint on woodchip paper - but it... more

The reception and bar was new and modern and obviously recently done, however it is clear that it has not extended to the rooms yet, or maybe just not all of them! We were apparently staying (for 2 nights) in the old part of the hotel and on the 3rd floor and it was straight outta the 80's. There was... more

I stayed at the Nolfolk Hotel for a weekend in September 2008. Having stayed at several hotels in Birmingham before on business, I was hoping for a hotel that was both professional and friendly. I was not dissappointed. The staff were both poilte and helpful, when I manged to leave my room key in my room. They were on hand... more

Is this hotel being upgraded? The outside was grim, the foyer was very modern and welcoming (unlike the staff who were not quite sure what they were doing). The lift then gave a clue to the rest of the accommodation with suspicious stains down the walls. The bedding was cleanish, the bathroom probably wouldn't pass an environmental health inspection as... more

Definitely the worst hotel we have ever attempted to stay in because we left after an hour and went to another one. The original room was situated in the DSS homeless section as it was the only door with a electro card, the bed was filthy, the shower had black mold growing, the room smelt and it was a good... more

We had the misfortune to spend 2 nights in this awful place and would advise anyone to avoid, unless they enjoy sleeping with their partner in 2 beds shoved together, under dirty sheets and dirty blanket on pillows that might as well have not been there. The room was tatty (wallpaper and lights hanging off the walls), smelled of damp... more

Think I might have stayed here at the same time as the last reviewer…and my experience was much of the same. I did find the hotel staff to be a bit more helpful but not much. Wanting to break the norm from booking the usual holiday inn/premier travel inn, we originally booked 2 double rooms on arrival we were given... more
