Stayed here for our honeymoon. Checked in before we got married and was'nt impressed with the room. Explained on the way out and the receptionist said we could sort it out when we got back. Arrived back on the evening and explained to the new receptionist what had happened and she gave us another room, which was exactly the same... more

Having read previous comments I wasn't expecting much - I wasn't disapointed. For £35 (late booking) I suppose we couldn't have expected much but being an optimist I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt. The room was quite small and pokey (double room) but it was clean. The bathroom seriously needs a good scrub to get rid... more

Although when you get beyond the swish entrance lobby, the furnishings in the bedrooms are not ultra-modern trendy, everything is perfectly adequate and good value for money. Excellent location for city centre. Catch virtually any bus along the Hagley Road, while your car stays in a secure, free car park. more

We stayed in a twin room for 1 night on the 3rd floor and although it was an ok size the room was dated (textured orange walls and dark carpet, shabby patterned bed linen, etc) and hot and stuffy even with the window open. The bathroom was a disgrace. The tiles and the bath had been sloppily painted with off... more

To be fair I was not expecting very much as the room was very cheap. From the outside the hotel looks a total dive. To my surprise the reception area and bar are very pleasant so my hopes lifted. The reception staff are very unfriendly and just grunted on my return because my key card did not work. The Room!!... more

Quite simply the most horrible Hotel experience I have ever had. Apart from the ground floor area the place was very poorly repaired and presented. Rooms were dirty and dreadfully furnished, the bedding smelled and so did the shower. TV was minute but didn't work anyway. WiFi was off which was a major problem. The water was hot - scalding... more

This hotel should be closed down immediately. We stayed in room 48, and after walking into reception and oohing and ahhing about how lovely it was, we were in for quite a slap in the face when we opened the door to our bedroom. The decor was incredibly old and dated, just orange paint on woodchip paper - but it... more

The reception and bar was new and modern and obviously recently done, however it is clear that it has not extended to the rooms yet, or maybe just not all of them! We were apparently staying (for 2 nights) in the old part of the hotel and on the 3rd floor and it was straight outta the 80's. There was... more
