I have not stayed at this hotel but attended a close friend's wedding reception recently. I would have to say that this hotel should never be allowed to hold a wedding reception ever again - well unless its only for about 10 guests. We were seated for our meal at 6.00 pm ready to dine at 6.30 pm. All guests... more

This hotel lies a mile to the south west of Birmingham city centre on busy Hagley Road which is the address of several other hotels. A good thing about staying here was that it was definitely a non-corporate style hotel - it had a bit of character. I think it is a bit like the Forth Road Bridge near Edinburgh... more

We booked this hotel as it was close to a work xmas party we were attending. When we booked the hotel we had the option of a smoking or non-smoking room. We requested a smoking room but when arriving at check in we were told the hotel does not provide any smoking rooms. We were then also told that we... more

Booked a single room. After a night out in town, a friend said she wanted to come to the room and order a cab. The rude man at reception ran after us and said she is not allowed in the room. I explained she is not going to stay but only going to call a cab. He said no otherwise... more

Ramshackle, only 2 star. They're renovating, and we had a renovated room in the main hotel, while our friends were put in the hotel next door (same owners). We checked in before vfestival, and they said the room might not have been cleaned. So we dumped our bags and although the room was nice and 'made up' with towels, soap,... more

We stayed at the Edgbaston Palace Hotel in the beginning of August and had a great time despite the miserable weather. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and catered to our every need, from the moment we checked-in to the moment we checked-out! We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, with a big bay window and a... more

We were looking for somewhere to stay in Birmingham for one night only. As we were going clubbing and wouldnt be using the room that much we didnt want to spend much on the room. We decided on a triple room which was £69. The hotel looks like it was once a really nice building but has become a bit... more

This hotel is great value for money; there were 13 of us that stayed so the quad rooms were a great find. They are a really good size and very comfortable with TV and one with a seating area. I only saw one of the double rooms which was cosy but it was clean and had all the facilities needed... more
