My Husband and I stayed here last night 17th Jan after seeing Strictly live tour at the Bar clay card arena. The room was cold at first and we couldn't get the radiator warm. We mentioned it twice the receptionist and when we got back after the show, the room was lovely and warm. very basic but VERY clean everywhere.... More

I would recommend this hotel. Three friends and I stayed for New Year's Eve; it was only £22.50 each, and the room had a TV, fancy sofa, refreshments, etc., with two single beds and a double. Very comfortable. Friendly staff. The only disadvantage was that the taxi journey into the city centre cost £10. But I think if we'd known... More

There was room to sit without someone knocking you, the staff ate on a table nearby- nice to see that they are looking after the staff, disco was good, a fab do and I would go again, cant comment... Me and my boyfriend stayed here after a Christmas party at the Regency Hotel just opposite. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable which meant it suited what we needed it for. The only problem was the noise from surrounding rooms. The walls are pretty thin meaning you can hear people's conversations in the neighbouring rooms and sometimes... More

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and always found it to be ok, the hotel itself is about a twenty minutes walk from the city centre, all staff are polite and friendly, the room was clean and tidy with a wide selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, the bathroom was clean with an... Stayed 2 night while visiting Christmas market. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel and it is on the main road into the city centre. Buses are frequent and stop outside, staff were also great at arranging taxis. Even though the hotel is on a main road, we were not disturbed by any noise. The main part of... More

Nice hotel at decent price. The building has great character. I loved the dining room with the beautiful wood panelling. Been a beautiful house in the past. Location good half way up Hagley Road not far from Botanic Garden, and a bracing walk to Broad Street. Good restaurants very walkable however, nearby including TGI and Akbars Staff in the hotel... A group of us stayed at the hotel to visit the Foid Show at the NEC, we arrived at 10 and left our cars in the car park, friendly hotel staff booked taxis for us and couldn't have been more helpful. We returned back at 730 after a long day to check in. Some of the areas going to the... More
