We never stayed at this hotel, went for a meal as my friends husband had treated us to a meal and my friend chose this venue. After seeing other reviews I was a little dubious, however as we walked through to the bar everywhere was clean and tidy, yes there are scuffs on some of the chairs and sofas, but... More

My Experience at the Edgbaston hotel was not pleasant. We found the hotel on booking.com as we only wanted a cheap hotel for we were going on a night out in Birmingham. The staff were rude and not very helpful when we first got there so as you can imagine the service didn't get any better for the rest of... More

Having previously stayed on business in Birmingham at the Norfolk Hotel and only just got over the trauma, I booked the Edgbason Palace on the web, not having been there before. Imagine my horror to find out it was directly opposite the Norfolk ! However this experience was 100 times better than the Norfolk. Room (417) was fine. Plenty of... More

My husband and I and two young children stayed in the family room 426. Lovely sized room with separate areas far children and adults. The TV tho was situated in the area with the 2 single beds, subsequently the children slept in them double bed as we stayed up later and wanted to watch the TV. The single beds are... More

This hotel is a complete joke, the rooms are tiny and the service is pathetic. This hotel charged my card a made up amount without my permission, as well as serving Raw meat in the restaurant and making us wait for 3 hours for food, even though we had booked the restaurant weeks in advance. On checkout, the staff could... More

We only stayed for one night in room 411 which was pretty small. Bathroom badly fitted with toilet roll holder 6 inches from the floor, shelf over the sink and mirror and 'shaving light' over the toilet! Far too close to the shower head for electrical safetyand little water pressure in shower. Breakfast room had a filthy fire place and... More

The rooms here are far to small for 2 work men to be staying in, the beds are to small and too close for comfort, if I stretched my arm I'd be punching me mate, also be sure to pull door shut behind you as they don't shut/lock properly once you leave, the best thing about work putting me in... Stayed one night in family room, all night noise from a fan outside the rear of the hotel kept us up all night. The noise did not go off at all, told the receptionist she said there was. No air con in rooms I did say it was from outside but no conclusion. Kept us awake all night nevertheless. Was... More

Had a car show at the nec so needed a hotel for one night for three people, very nice hotel and the staff were polite, had a three bed room for only £75! 30 mins from Nec, and close to the city centre! My only criticism is that the radiator was very dusty and had not been cleaned for a... More
