Good bits. Location on New Street, very central. Attractive and well kept public rooms. Good beds. Friendly staff Bad bits. Parking a nightmare. Inadequate info from website or staff about this. Recommend Snow Hill carpark. Room 326 has abysmal view, hopefully pic attached. The hotel Lacks a certain warmth, a bit impersonal despite the period features. Hidden charges. Certain breakfast... Staff great everywhere the restaurant food let you down and the bedrooms that face onto the street need secondary glazing to dull the noise from the shouts of revellers at night. Normally water is supplied in the rooms niether room had any a shame

Great for shopping as very close to grand central and bullring. The staff were good, especially Richard who changed rooms for us as the original room we were given was quite small. I had booked a double executive room for a little cost but found the room small and claustrophobic, we were moved to a bigger room.

Great city centre location for a visit to Birmingham. Bed was extremely comfortable, and the room overall was very nice. Staff friendly, all said good morning. Nice breakfast as well. All in all I'd happily stay here again.

Hotel comes highly recommended. Staff were brilliant, room very nice and amenities were second to none. The breakfast was lovely with a great choice for any diner. We did not use the restaurant. Location is excellent for the city centre and train stations v

Car park nightmare. No indication that a different postcode was required for parking. Room was clean if a little snug for an executive room. Breakfast was mayhem, no one seemed to be in charge, lots of staff running in all directions! Our cooked breakfast was lovely, just a shame our tea arrived after our cooked food!

As I was chatting to reception staff on check in, they told me to enjoy some relaxation, recommended I visit the bar and restaurant ans put my... More

Have just returned from one night here, a last minute decision, and one I don't regret! I booked here with slight apprehension, given the central location, and the very reasonable discounted rate I had visions of a sleepless night due to its proximity to New Street, and very basic accommodation. It proved to be an oasis of calm, staffed by... More

Great city centre location for a visit to Birmingham. Situated directly opposite New Street Station the hotel is of a high quality with friendly and helpful staff. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and is ideal for business or pleasure.

Great location, and lovely building. Very friendly and warm staff, very helpful. Room a bit tired; huge room with amazing window, high ceilings, furniture looked like it had come from a junk shop and wardrobe so small looked like a dolls house piece of furntire. A shame because could be gorgeous. Lighting very dull. Old plastic phones need modernising. Bathroom... More
