Our stay at this hotel was better than any we've ever experienced at any private or chain hotel. Norma's professional, friendly and welcoming nature made our experience simply wonderful! Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel itself was nice and quiet, with no disturbances from other guests or noise from the street, as we'd too often experienced in hotels... more

We stayed at the Westbourne Lodge this weekend for a wedding and Norma could not have been helpful enough. The rooms were very neatly presented and much more spacious than we would have had in a value hotel and the personal touches made all the difference. I can not recommend this highly enough - a lovely place to stay. more

Welcoming staff, quaint place and good location. The room was an adequant size, comfy bed and large windows. Parking was fine and the street where the B&B is located is a quiet residential area. The owner was delightful and very friendly. I would recommend Westbourne Lodge to anyone wanting to stay overnight if they needed to visit Birmingham Women's hospital... more

I have just returned from an overnight stay at the Westbourne Lodge and can't understand why anyone would choose a hotel on the noisy Hagley Rd when they could stay in this peaceful retreat. A friendly reception, a quiet, well maintained/equipped, clean room with free wifi and a plentiful, wholesome breakfast served with a smile - what more could you... more

We were visting Birmingham for medical reasons and appreciated the warm and friendly atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble! Our room was spotlessly clean with a comfotable bed and the facilities theirin were more than adequate. The location was ideal given that we needed to be within easy reach of both the City and Sellyoak Hospitals. Having travelled widely and... more

Well located, easy to find B&B but not particulalry welcoming. Our room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable, but the whole place could benefit from some TLC in places as décor was very old-fashioned and generally shabby and the bathroom skirting board was falling off. Central heating was left on all night so we had to sleep with... more

We came to Birmingham to the Bob Dylan concert (disappointing), but the choice of Westbourne Lodge was not. We received a very friendly welcome from the owner, who helped us by ordering a taxi and recommending a good local Indian restaurant for after the concert. The room, number 7, was large and comfortable, with a large double bed plus a... more

Stayed with two friends on two occasions. Once going and then coming back from France on our way back to Scotland. The hotel is lovely and Norma and her staff make you feel extremely welcome. Rooms are very nice with en-suite bathroom and walk in shower. Beds were very comfortable and there is a large flat screen TV on the... more
