Hotel was wrong from the start - stayed in room431. Located onthird floor and lift did not work going down - not good for my disabled husband. The radiator was too hot and could not be turned down, so window open all night- once fixed it leaked and flooded the carpet. Shower in the wrong place so hard to shower.... more

I had to stay at the Apollo due to the fact that my normal hotel (hotel du vin) had double booked my room. So to turn up at the Apollo, which is a large, tired, hotel in rather a dodgy area of Birmingham to find that there was no room service after 9.30pm, no hot water (they had not switched... more

I booked this hotel with a friend as it seemed a reasonable price for a night but when we got there we were horrified with the state of the hotel, This was probably a lovely hotel abiut 20 years ago but I dont think this has been updated since then so very run down, I guess you get what you... more

Myself, husband, mum and 2 children (7&11) stayed at this hotel for 1 night when visiting the NIA for a show. Yes it`s a little dated but for the price it is excellent. I have previously stayed at the Norfolk (don`t do it) on my visits to Birmingham but last time it really had gone down hill. The Apollo only... more

We stayed at the Apollo for six nights for the Edgbaston test match. We booked an executive room and were quite happy with it. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, with a good sized bathroom. We thought breakfast was good, with a wide selection and the service was good. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel because there are... more
