Looks a bit like a borstal with decor to match, staff are very friendly and relaxed and we had not paid for breakfast, asked at check in and initially advised it was £12.50 per head, wtih a bit of bartering got them down to £5.00 per head and it was a great breakfast, cooked, plus cereal and croissant. Bed was... More

Dont stay here, horrible and dirty hole. No hot water, people outside fighting and swearing, playing loud music from their cars all night. Pay slightly more and stay in the premier inn across the road, or save the money and sleep in the car, you won't get a good nights sleep here anyway!

We have just returned from a two night stay here and I was really impressed. Our room was extremely clean, bed comfy, tv brilliant and staff very friendly. This hotel is close to Birmingham city centre and on main bus routes so transport no problem at all. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. We will return next time we visit... More

OK so maybe that is a bit harsh, but coming through the door into our housing block at night was very scary as the light bulb was broken and just flickering on and off (typical horror movie style). Half of our party had arrived earlier that day and checked out all the rooms, and of course I ended up with... More

After trawling the net for a room in Birmingham for one night I settled on the Apollo, attracted by the very good price, free car parking and free wifi. Hotel was very tired, although apparently going through a refurb, rooms were nearly clean, bed was reasonably comfortable, curtains were excellent at blackout so had a reasonable night sleep. Wifi worked... More

Staff were very nice. Room was clean and comfortable and the shower was very good. Breakfast was a buffet serve yourself affair and depending how long the food had been sitting under the heaters was OK to poor. Greatly overpriced at £8.50 and should probably be about £5.00. I was not impressed that WiFi was not available in my room.... More

I understand why people aren't rating this 5 stars but this hotel is perfect for me. I stay here when I go for a night out in Brum so probably don't notice any defects. Firstly- the price. You are looking at around 30 quid for a single and 35 for a double. The location is fantastic too. The room is... More
