I went with a group of friends, for my friends 40th Birthday (Group total is 6 women) The hotel is easy to find, great location, onsite FREE parking Very close to Broad Street & The Bullring (short cab rides away) The old part of the hotel is very... We have just returned from a very enjoyable Murder Mystery Weekend. We found the hotel to be in a very good position, easy access to Birmingham, good parking and very friendly staff. I agree with some other comments about the room furniture being dated, but our room was large, bed very comfortable, good linen, large bathroom with plenty of hot... More

I spent three nights in Birmingham staying at this hotel and overall I would rate the whole experience as average. The hotel itself is a nice old building on the Hagley Road, quite close to Broad Street and close enough for a walk to the Broad Street area of the city and to the Botanical Gardens. It is on one... The outside of this hotel was very attractive and olde worlde, but the interior of the bedrooms really let it down. The public areas were modern and nice but the bedrooms are well overdue for a makeover (stuck in a 70's timewarp) but they were clean. The location is good, very close to the city centre with free parking. The... More

I would like to give a huge thanks to all the staff and management who helped make my daughters wedding a day to remember. One word FANTASTIC! All the staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for you and I cannot thank them enough for what they did both on the lead up to the wedding and the actual... More

Don,t be fooled by the picturs on web sites etc this place i very run down, it needs several licks of paint and a good scrub The staff are generally helpful but need lessons in customer care and manners. Rooms are circa 1970s and are falling apart How they think they can charge £85 per night I dont know The... More

Thank you for taking the time to write and I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay although I cannot agree with your comments. I also wish you were less generic in them as it makes it impossible for me to respond or to identify where we may have got things wrong. Thank you anyway as I know you... More

Stayed for a Saturday night. The wedding was in place, so took a while to check in as reception was dealing with water leak. The beds were nice and clean, so is the bathroom. The rest of the furniture was very shabby and carpets are very old, no fridge. It was impossible to go to sleep with a wedding party... More

Only stayed1 night in a family room for 3. Really spacious room and large comfy beds. Furniture a bit tired but otherwise a very pleasant hotel. Bar was very nice and rather grand, shabby reception but served by lovely friendly staff. Breakfast was good too. A fresh buffet of pastries, cereals and English breakfast. Bar was priced reasonably and again... More
