Went for lunch this week and entered hotel by side door, to small bar, which smelt of chips etc. We said we wanted lunch and were told that the restaurant was not open at lunch time, but we could eat in this bar or go through to the cocktail bar/seating area. In the main bar we waited some time for... More

We have stayed at this hotel twice overnight on a business trip. The room spec on the same price point appears to variable which is always tricky (I've also seen the rooms of friends). The head of the bed in first twin room was lower than the foot of the bed so good if you have swollen ankles but maybe... More

Bought an Amazon voucher for 12 small tapas dishes for 2 people. On arrival, nothing was set up even though we had booked a table. We were shown to 2 small low tables - not sure its really appropriate to use these for eating. Before we had even sat down, we were asked what we wanted to drink!?! Drinks came... More

Thank you for taking the time to write. The whole idea of the tapas offer is a selection of small plates in a relaxed environment and that is what we have done although I am sorry it was not for you. Thank you again for taking the time to write More

Thank you so very much for an excellent afternoon tea. Our disabled family members were so well cared for and there was plenty of delicious food. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were fantastic. Such good value for money and highly recommended. Look forward to returning one day. Ann from Essex

I stayed here with my partner for 1 night on the 19th sept which incorporated a murder mystery event. This hotel has a fantastic location, very courteous staff and the food was excellent. The rooms are basic but have all the amenities you need.the only improvement I would suggest is that more bar staff are needed when the hotel runs... More

We took a tapas lunch on an Amazon Local deal. On arrival at 12:30 the hotel was deserted - no staff or customers in sight. Eventually we found a member of staff who was very helpful and showed us to our table. Then we waited, and waited.........until after about 30 mins our lunch arrived :12 assorted tapas dishes to share.... More

There are a lot of steps and no lift in this rather friendly but old hotel in edgbaston but the douvet was lovely and the bed very comfortable. But no heating i the bathroom !!!they need it. Nice friendly breakfast with helpful staff. And room service was cheap. But there is so much happening in birmingham they need to modernise

Turned up here to take up our Amazon offer of tapas for 4. Booked this weeks in advance and checked the day before we arrived to check all was well. Reserved for 7.45pm. I am sorry for the confusion with your booking. We did have a table booked in your name for Tapas. We also had an event booked at the same time in the restaurant and on arrival when you stated you had a table booked in the restaurant that is where you were sat. I appreciate your frustration and have spoken... More

A friend of mine booked an afternoon tea for myself and two other friends for a 'get together'. She had an Amazon voucher for all of us at half price. I am glad to say she didn't pay full price as what we had was not worth the money. The sandwiches were fine, we had nice fresh scones but had... More
