Had a 2 night stay here this week and thought the hotel was excellent. Staff couldn't do enough for us and everything was to a very good standard. Special thanks to the chirpy barman James for keeping us entertained !

i booked it for my best friends birthday. At the time of arrival there was a wedding which we had to squeeze through. On trecking up many stairs we found our key to the door didnt work so i had to bustle back through the wedding to the reception. Rooms are nice and water was hot the only problem we... More

This hotel is confused about its self. There is no clear style as you walk through the hotel, it changes from old to semi new with bad decor and a bizarre range of pictures. I was staying in the newer side of the hotel which was more meeting centre than hotel , the signage was poor and the nearest exit... More

I have stayed many times at this hotel both on business and for leisure purposes. Whilst parts of the building's internal fabric are starting to show signs of wear and tear, nothing can detract from the feeling that you get from the warm and welcoming ambiance one gets from this hotel when you check in. Apart from free parking the... More

Large room ideal for two adults and children with lots of energy. A two night stay and booked a nights stay with a family pass to visit Cadbury World. Really enjoyed the day out and experience. Also lots of places to eat with children within the main area of Birmingham. Travel around on buses or trains is very cheap and... More

I booked this hotel for a one night stay as part of my friends 30th birthday celebrations. We were attending a murder mystery event at the hotel and I thought a night stop over would be perfect. Only living 30 minutes away from Birmingham,I really wish we hadn't bothered! The murder mystery event was great fun and in terms of... More

Although this Hotel is "easy on the eye" and a little quirky, the route to get to our room (with no lift) was quite a distance. We stayed overnight on business. Our bedroom was quite hot and stuffy, the metal windows were screwed shut and there is no air conditioning. We were offered a fan, but it was never delivered... More

Thank you for taking the time to write and for your comments. I am sorry you didn't get the chance to dine with us as I am sure you would have been pleased. We do get extremely busy and therefore booking is always advisable. I will speak with the team however as to why we couldn't squeeze you in. Thank... More

stayed here on business for a night. The first room was in the old part and it was really bad. The room we were moved to in the "new"part was slightly better, although at 9 that night the chimney stack collapsed and caused us to have a near heart attack as rubble cascaded over the roof and flew past our... Thank you for writing and I am very sorry for the gales. It brought a couple of trees down in Edgbaston and I can also report that it caused a few loose bricks to be blown off the roof but as we have no chimney an almost certain disaster was thankfully averted. I am also afraid you read the date... More

I will start off by saying this is a lovely looking hotel, and the rooms were clean. We stayed here for one night for my birthday so we could have a night out in the centre of Birmingham. When we arrived we sat in the bar and ordered some food. My fiancé ordered a ham and cheese toastie and chips,... More

Thank you for your comments and I am sorry you found it hard to get back into the hotel. You are quite correct that the doors do get locked but when you ring the doorbell our bleep system alerts the night porter to let you in. After speaking with the night porter it is my understanding that after coming back... More

Just over a month since we got married at the above hotel. From the moment we arrived we were looked after incredibly well. Every member of staff we met had a smile. The food served at the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet was first class. If your organising a wedding give this hotel a visit!
