We visited the NIA and this hotel was ideally located to stay overnight. The Bedroom we had (room 116) was large enough but oh so dated. The fittings, furniture and bathroom especially looked as thought they were from the late 1960's. We stayed on a Sat night and our room was directly above the bar. There was a very noisy... more

This hotel is a beautiful listed building with a large modern(70's ish) extension. The rooms are a little dated but still looked after well. The staff were very accommodating. The location of the hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the busy Broad Street, with a great restaurant and nightlife selection. The breakfast was great, with some off the... more

Lovely old hotel, well kept and clean with friendly service. Nice rooms took a while to get a film on; several trips to reception to get it sorted. Hard to find the hotel without sat-nav or prior knowledge, would not advise if on foot! Bar is expensive but food in fantastic. Most rooms are quite a walk from reception through... more

When you ask the Hotel staff to change the music to somthink more appropriate for a Sunday Morning such as classic FM, you receive slovenly and curt begrudging... more

We stayed at this hotel when we went to a Cliff Richard concert at the NIA. The reception was clean and tidy and we were booked in very efficently. Bar area was spacious and comfortable, but we had a long trek up stairs and down stairs to find our room. it was a large room, but a bit old fashioned... more

The hotel is located at the corner of the junctions of Plough and Harrow Road (the B4532) and Hagley Road (A456). There is extensive free parking available within the grounds, with a token system for exiting - tokens provided by reception. The girls on reception were very receptive and pleasant at all visits to the desk. The hotel itself has... more

We stayed in the plough & harrow for one night, on arrival we were shown to a room in the main building, the room was filthy and the dated avacado bathroom was dimly lit so we asked to be moved and shown to another room in the "new block" which is 70's disaster but cleaner bathroom but overall an absolutely... more

Hotel somewhat dated and tired but at the price charged offered very good value for money with a great breakfast. Location ideal for centre within 15 min walk, straight up Broad St, so ideal for nightlife etc. Easy to find in car, good free car parking. more
