Stayed here to attend a conference in Edgbaston Cricket Ground just a short trip away. Hotel staff were very friendly, rooms were spacious and clean. Bathrooms had very good showers and of good standard. Bar area is not large but good service. Only used restaurant for breakfast which had plenty of choice with the food to a good standard. If... Came here for quick lunch, special of the day was a lamb burger which I ordered, was surprisingly nice. My partner had a fried chicken club sandwich which also was nice and fresh. The whole hotel seemed very empty. Even when we sat waiting for food, we were the only ones there. The restaurant needs a good lick of paint... More

Brilliant hotel, right across the road from the train station, and right at the edge of the city centre shops. Lovely rooms, comfy beds, great wifi, great breafast, the bar is lovely and the balcony is nice in sunny weather. great for business travellers and shoppers

This hotel is walking distance from the train and coach stations so is easy to get to via public transport. We used this hotel to stay after seeing a concert at the Barclaycard Arena (previously NIA). This hotel is very good value, the rooms were comfortable and clean, our room was also very quiet considering it was right next to... More

Don't be put off by the exterior, walk inside to a warm and friendly welcome. Ask for a room on a high floor as these aren't as noisy as the lower floor rooms. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the towels were fresh and clean. The hairdryer was rubbish, you... More

This hotel is great. It's very conveniently located to Birmingham new street station. We arrived early and the room was not ready but the lady on reception was very helpful and put our cases in a room she also gave us a map of Birmingham. Once we had checked in the room was clean was clean and spacious. If you... More

Rooms are clean and well maintained which is more than can be said for the lower levels of the outside of the building. When we first arrived we thought oh dear, but on entering the building we felt better. For some reason the staff had their faces painted - I could understand if there was a charity event or it... outside of the hotel looks like a filthy building from communist eastern Europe, so the nicely refurbished interior was a pleasant surprise.. room was fine for one night - not a lot of space if you had a lot of luggage or for 2 of you. my room was clean and recently refurbished. service was very good at check in,... Very near to New Street Station and convenient for venues in the centre of the City. The hotel appears to be a 1960s structure which has been refubished. The area surrounding the hotel is in need of a make-over but the inside of the hotel is very good. Having read Trip Advisor reviews, I asked for a high floor room... More

We booked last minute for a Sunday night. Easy to find, extremely central (2 mins walk to Bullring shops) and with adjacent NCP carpark at £12.50 for 24hrs with hotel discount. First room at the front was too noisy so we asked to move to the back and that was perfect. Lovely comfy bed with choice of pillows, immaculate room,... More
