Massive modern rooms with massive beds and nice showers. City view via door windows. I love everything about this hotel. However, it is a bit pricier now than before. Stayed here a few times in the best. The average price before was £60 per night and now the cheapest would be £80/90 per night. Close to the city centre and... More

Several stays now, both single and multinight, midweek and weekend. All visits without issues, I have no issues with staying here , convenient, central, pleaseant staff, nice rooms, nice full english breakfast. Typically booking Superior Room with included breakfast, and as IHG Platinum and have variously received Deluxe, Exec and even a 2-room Family Room on top floor though second... More

Very nice hotel. Has a deal with NCP for parking which needs to be advertised a lot more clearly on sites such as LateRooms.com and booking.com. NCP just round the corner, easily in walking distance but v pricey without the deal. Show ticket to reception on departure. Room was big, clean, comfy and very quiet given that it's a city... More

We stay here from time to time to see gigs in Birmingham. Once again we had a very good stay, we were upgraded to an exec room which was large, very clean, well lit and warm when we wanted it and cool when we didn't (i.e. the air con worked well). I'm not sure but I think they may have... More

There's not a lot I can say about this place. If you've stayed at a Holiday Inn before (and you probably have) then you know exactly what to expect. It's clean, functional, soulless, but above all consistent, and fitted to a good standard. The staff are professional if a little bit unfriendly. The one perk this particular Inn does have... More

A nice hotel in a great city centre location. 2 mins walk from both the central new street train station & shopping. Rooms are well appointed & comfortable, very clean. Pretty quiet too - I was on the 5th floor. If you like quiet, I'd ask for a higher floor as location is on the main road & I would... More

Stayed here at start of February for a work commintment for three nights. The room itself was very nice and comfy - in no way spacious but quite sufficient for a works do. However, my room looked over Queensway and the noise from the street below is the worst I have ever experienced in any hotel. Inter room noise is... More

I have been staying at this hotel now and then for over 10 years. I have seen many renovations of the rooms but this time I was appalled by the state this hotel is in. The shower was simply disgusting. Mould all over the shower head and in every corner of the shower. I am fully aware that such rooms... More

It's Birmingham City Centre so obviously a bit drab and noisy, but the hotel is right opposite the station, the NCP car park and the Alexandra Theatre. Ask for a high floor (we were on the 7th) and you'd do a lot worse for the money.
