Stayed here for one night and it exceeded my expectations of a Holiday Inn. 5 mins from New Street station, the Bull Ring and the Mail Box. Good price, clean, plenty of space, able to leave baggage before and after check-in/check out. More

Stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip. Staff were generally polite and check in was straightforward. Room was clean, with a large comfortable bed and met the general expectations of a standard Holiday Inn. The main shortcomings were a slow/unreliable internet service and a dull room service/restaurant menu. Most acutely irritating though was the apparent shortage of trays... More

Central location - minutes away from New Street station, easy walk to restaurants in the Mailbox, the Hippodrome, bars on Hurst Street a minute away and a short walk to Broad Street. Large spacious Executive Rooms. Huge king sized beds. Good choice at breakfast. More

The attitude of the front desk lacks a customer focus, even with the good location and clean rooms we would think twice before using this hotel again due to the poor service. More

Check in staff initially plesant. Room was clean, although layout terrible -bathroom was only partitioned by frosted glass, allowing the other person to see you on the loo! Gaps in the glass and door left little to the inagination. Security staff checked everyones room key when returning at night. In hotel bar refused service as they 'required proof I was... More

Booked 4 rooms for 4 couples for upcoming night out at £60 a room. It had recently been refurbished and our rooms were smart, super clean and quiet. Facilities were great, breakfast hot and plentiful and staff friendly and efficient. No parking but being only 5mins from the train station meant a care free night out. I'd really recommmend this... The property is well located for Birmingham New Street Station and the shopping district. From the outside the hotel looks like a 1960's monstrosity. That being said the interior is not bad at all. Rooms tend to be on the larger side, clean, well appointed and comfortable. Rates for this property tend to be quite reasonable. Priority Club Platinum recognition... More

Helpful and efficient check-in, recognised and upgraded as Platinum PC member. Large, renovated room with king bed, clean and well furnished. Efficient and responsive air con/heating. This was a Saturday night and the revellers in the street outside were making their presence felt until the early hours, as were the taxis. I doubt whether you would hear anything on a... More

Stayed at this hotel in January 2012 and many times over the last few years. Always been consistent in quality and service. The rooms are as you'd expect from the Holiday Inn chain and if ever anything has been wrong the staff are accomodating in sorting things out. Good - Consistant quality, breakfast (buffet style), evening meals and room service.... More

I stayed at the Holiday Inn, Birmingham City Centre with a friend on Boxing night. It cost us £67 for the night (£33.50 each) and it was in the centre of the city close to the Chinese Quarter. The room was spotless and the staff were very friendly. The hotel was almost empty probably because of the time of year!... More
