Stayed here 24-26 June 2009 and chose it because of its location. The travel company that booked it for me upgraded me to an executive room and ordered a bottle of wine, chocolates and fruit for my arrival (travel company messed the booking up so this was their apology, so the hotel were paid for this upgrade it was me... more

I stayed in this hotel in 2008 and found it perfectly ok, and having read all the negative comments on the site I wondered what had gone wrong during the past year?? In fact I found there was nothing I could fault about the hotel, the cleanliness of the entire hotel was excellent, the staff were great and really polite... more

Stayed for 2 nights had a great stay, not sure why there is a lot of negative reviews. I have stayed a few times at this hotel and things have got much better, especially now most of the Hotel has been refurbished to a great standard. Rooms vary in size and style but all I have stayed in have been... more

We stayed here as organisers of a traing course for my company. 20 delegates attended. the staff in general were rude, unhelpful and only helped begrudgingly, despite paying £157 for photcopying! they overbooked rooms meaning one tutor had nowhere to stay. the staff took plates away in dinner and breakfast far too quickly meaning we felt very rushed and on... more

The hotel is badly maintained and does not respect the Priority Club loyalty programme. At 6am on my first night there was a real fire alarm and had to go down 9 flights of stairs, as did hundreds of other guests. All hotel residents came out in the cold, some in their bathrobes, and waited until the firemen checked out... more

This hotel is very hard to review as there is a lot of good points and a lot of bad! First the good!: The hotel is in the perfect location for the city center! 2 minute walk from the Bullring shopping center and very near the theaters and night spots! The rooms are very large and modern with a good... more

Stayed here for one night as part of a two-day conference at the Bullring, a 5 minute walk away so very handy (and 5 mins walk from New Street Station where our train from Liverpool arrived. Left our bags there at 9am, no problem. Returned at 5pm to check in. Ate at the carvery. Food fine, not dried out as... more

We were in Holiday Inn for 15 hrs, in this time we were put in a room with a leaking bathroom, moved to a room half the size with dirty towels and then woken up by a maid trying to come in the room at 8.00am, 8.30am, 9.00am and 9.30am. When I asked to make a complaint, one receptionist listened,... more

I stayed in Holiday Inn on Queensway City Centre from April 19th to April 23 2009. I was there to conduct workshops for a team. What took me by total surprise (unpleasant one) was that the handouts which were shipped from India were misplaced on the first day. When I brought this to the notice of the person in charge... more
