The hotel is set in the arcadian and therefore you can expect to hear the music from all the near by bars and clubs which is fine if your the one doing teh partying but not if you have to get up and sit in a boring lecture or meeting etc the next day! (my room was at the front... more

If your visiting Birmingham and want to be near all attractions and nightlife then this is the place to stay. It can be loud at night from the street so if you want to sleep, request a quiet room. All staff are friendly, you even get a "Good Morning" when you pass every member of staff (A rare thing these... more

I stayed at this hotel for three nights to attend a convention. It was convenient to the city center but not convenient to the convention center. Rooms were very bare and small. Hard bed and pillow. Tiny shower and bathroom. No bars of soap - only liquid soap in the shower. TIny, rough towels. Service was friendly. This was a... more

I recently stayed Friday to Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great location and very close to all Birmingham provides - shopping, nightlife etc. Only had one problem with the internet but that was fixed promptly by reception staff. Overall I was very satisifed and would definitely use this again next time I'm in Birmingham. more

Had a one night stay in march. Check in very good and efficient & good sized room, which was spotless. Location excellent, 5 mins from New Street station, plenty of eating and drinking options on the doorstep. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, with items not being replenished often enough - had to wait 5 minutes for a cup... more

I recently returned here and promptly noticed it had been refurbished. I always preferred this hotel when i stayed in Birmingham but now there's no contest. Any faults i cound pick before have definately improved. Yes the surrounding area is noisy and before used to be woken at times but now with the sound proofing i slept soundly. The new... more

It is great to see that people are appreciating and enjoying the new bedrooms following extensive refurbishment works. It is particularly pleasing to see such positive comments from returning customers

Recently stayed overnight, as part of a group booking of 6. The hotel is well located in the centre of Birmingham and very convenient for Bullring, shops, theatres etc. Staff provided a friendly welcome and efficient service. The rooms were compact but were comfortable and well decorated with good facilities e.g. en suite, tv, tea/coffee facilities. I have used a number of... more

Stayed for one night when in Birmingham on business. Have used Ibis hotels across Spain and France with no problems. This one seemed OK, service pretty good, facilities OK, room much as expected. However when I left in the morning I started to develop bites across my back and arms. I had these checked in the evening by a nurse... more

Ibis hotels across the UK invest heavily in a comprehensive pest pest prevention service, which includes extensive preventative dusting programme to reduce the posibility of bed bug infection. This bedroom ,and others within the vicinity were inspected within a week of this guest stay by a third party and no evidence of any infection was found.
