I booked this hotel for a 2-night stay because of its most reduced price and proximity to train station. It came with a "nightmare". A group of 3 youngsters were still shouting and playing computer game until 4am. We called the reception for 3 times to ask them to send staff here to tell those people off, but nobody ever... More

I stayed here early September mid week on a business trip for one night. I found the whole place very basic, dated decoration and a few thinks not working too great- dripping shower, a window boarded up in the bathroom making it a bit noisy and the toilet was slow to fill so the water ran for ages. Saying that,... More

I have stayed here on a couple of occasions. Each time I found it to be functional, but little more. The rooms are a good size, but the beds are a bit ropey! Single beds pushed together to make a double, rarely ends well. The showers have always been dreadful. Poor water pressure and often shooting off in every direction... More

Having stayed in Birmingham many times this was the first time I stayed at this hotel it was booked because it was £33 no breakfast but this was all it was worth. Extremely dated as other reviewers have mentioned I stayed on fourth floor and although there was building noise it would only affect you if you were a light... More

The Birmingham Comfort inn is cheap (though there are other similar priced deals available if you look). However, the cheapness shows. There were many downsides to my stay. The lift was ropey & very temperamental. Like the rest of the hotel its long overdue for an overhaul. I stayed on the second floor in a room at the centre /... More

Much of my time in Birmingham was not spent at the hotel, but it did the job. Is walking distance from the train station. The only negative really was the time it took to check in and the noise outside due to the building work on the buildings opposite, which is obviously not the hotel's fault, but a clear warning... Room was very basic with a beautiful view of the building works over the road at the train station. However had all the basic amenities and close enough to the centre to make this a reasonable stay. Very close to New St station and just a 15 min walk from the coach station

You get what you pay for, and I wish we'd paid more, because the advertising and in-house blurbs were nothing like the reality. The room was really stuffy, but we couldn't open the windows because major construction works on the New St station were right outside. The advertising said that each room had "an ensuite and ironing facilities". There was... More

As others have said, don't expect much from this hotel. Although the location is really good, the noise from the nearby New Street Station works and the fact that the room was BOILING hot, made it impossible for us to get any sleep. The hotel is in desperate need of air conditioning or at least a fan hiring service. The... More

I came to this hotel with a friend looking for a cheap hotel close to the train station. The staff are friendly but got told there was a lot of drinking in the rooms the night before so the cleaning wasn't finished when we arrived. We were able to drop our bags off and come back later. Which when we... More
