This hotel was very convenient to the coach station as well as new street train station. Although, there was a lot of work going on at the train station. Staff were lazy. We were due to check in at 12pm and at 12:40 when we finally arrived our room was not ready and still being cleaned. The toilet wouldn't flush... More

Want somewhere to dump your bags, kip and shower the this fits the bill. Cheap and you get what you pay for but clean and comfortable and very central. Well located for highlights of Broad Street, Popworld a special favourite. Don't write home about shower temp or pressure, as both are lacklustre! Good to watch and hear progress with John... More

At £45 for a double room in the centre of Birmingham, this hotel was great value. However, this was a special offer probably due to the major works taking place outside. The reception was friendly, the room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. However, there was a persisting drains smell from the bathroom, and we could not open... More

I stayed here for 1 night with my sister in a twin-bedded room overlooking all the work going on at the station. Even though the men were working through the night we hardly heard a thing and it certainly did not interfere with our sleep. We thought the hotel was excellent value for what we paid. The room was a... More

Travelled by rail couldn't have been more conveniently located next to station and bullring shopping with canal scene close by. Hotel ablest from past and lift worthy of place in science museum . Unfortunately surrounded by building works with attendant noise dust etc . Weather was hot and room hotter not possible to open windows due to noise . Rooms... More

Stayed in Comfort Inn for one night. Travelled in and out of Birmingham by train, so location was ideal. Room was small, but clean. Could do with some modernisation. For the amount of time was in it, it was fine.. Served the purpose after a night out and for the money was OK!

A group of friends and I needed a hotel for the night after a day at the Ashes at Edgbaston. Unfortunately, those Aussies couldn't get the game to last 4 days so we had no cricket but decided we would still sample the very best Birmingham has to offer. Or just drink a significant amount of beer. When we arrived... More

If you're looking to be woken up at 6 in the morning by construction and building workers then already you're onto a winner. The room is no bigger than a closet with a smell that suggests it hasn't been cleaned and no clean towels each day which makes me wonder what else hasn't been changed. On the first night I... More

Got to my room after a day watching the cricket and shower was freezing. No hot water at all. The room tiny for someone who is 6ft2, sloping ceilings. Attitude from receptionist was poor. No attempt to sort anything or apologise. If most other places in Birmingham centre weren't full id move out. AVOID! Room 406

Polite staff, cheap rates! That's it! Next time I'll stick to my £100 minimum spend and avoid Comfort Inns as this one was dirty, the bed was terrible, shower water pressure (no pressure). The street its on is dodgy to say the least- best left avoided for a nicer nights actual sleep else where
