Cold cement structure and ice cold communal area. Bedrooms really comfortable. Staff try so hard -well done! I slept so well in comfort and was so close to all the Baum attractions. Stay here and eat/drink elsewhere for perfection.

Clean, modern and friendly hotel, good location for nia / city centre. Only negative point we got charged £1 for a dash of lemonade and 50p for a dash of lime on top of the £6 for the pint of larger! We would recommend and stay there again

Before arrival I called to check if I was able to check in early. Due to being busy they said I could put my bags in and sit in the lounge and they would come and collect us when the room was ready. They actually had a muddle up with the booking that I had booked with booking.com but they... More

Excellent hotel and good for new street station. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It's very close to the mail box so there are a good choice of restaurants and the bull ring is walking distance. I ate in the hotel as I was on my own however this let the hotel down . The meal was certainly not the... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on the 4th of October for one night as we were going to the ICC for a conference. The room rate was reasonable for last minute and city centre. The locationwS ideal for our purpose with lots of resturants near the canal within walking distance. However the hotel is generally very tired... More

Quick check in, room was quiet and tranquil, went out in the evening and came back around midnight and had a little drink in the lounge bar on the ground floor, very nice, comfy seats, reasonably priced wine. Beds were comfy, curtains blocked out all the light in the morning which was lovely. Breakfast was great, lots of choice, could... More

I stayed here for a night on business. It's a ten minute walk from Birmingham New Street although as a female I wouldn't walk on my own at night as a few shady characters on the walk there. Hotel lobby was nice and check in friendly. Only downside was the lifts were broken so took ages to get to my... More

Have stayed here 2 or 3 times and to echo some other reviewers there are some things they could do better. On our last trip the reception staff were efficient but not very friendly and bordered on being brusque ..so back to customer service school for some of them. The other reviewer who mentioned the lifts is right, you can... More

10 minutes of so walk from the station, this hotel is a very good choice for people looking to stay in the centre of Birmingham. The rooms are clean, well equipped and feel quite luxurious and the beds are extremely comfortable. The staff are helpful and attentive, which is all you need for an overnight stay. The bar area is... More

My wife and I stayed at the hotel as part of our 30th wedding anniversary and thank the hotel for the card and bottle of wine. We were also supposed to have seen Joan Rivers R.I.P. at the theatre but of course it was cancelled. Overall most things at the hotel were good but there is just that little bit... More
