Booked the hotel through Booking.com and got a very good deal. Room was lovely- very spacious, huge bed which was very comfy (and a pillow menu - not sure if I have been living under a rock but never experienced that before!). Bathroom was on the small side but had everything including a robe! Water pressure was excellent. Toilet seat... More

Spacious, comfortable rooms in quiet yet central location. Although the breakfast was very busy the food and service was very good. It had all my favourites including fried eggs with Lea and Perrins sauce and black pudding. You are a five minute walk to busy Broad Street and the Brindley canal complex and the Library. The room was good value... More

My stay was a pleasant one. Well kept rooms, a modern feel, helpful staff. Totally spoiled by the post this morning. I was undercharged by 69 pence. That's right- 69 pence underpaid. Not sure what for. But what the hotel did was annoying. Upsetting even. They charged the 69 pence to my credit card, and sent me the revised bill.... More

Stayed here for three nights recently, to attend a conference at the ICC, which is only a ten minute walk away. Very clean room, with large bed and a choice of pillows to suit everyone. Effective and easy to use shower. Attention to detail good: toiletries in bathrooom and robe, selection of biscuits, and even a chocolate! Housekeeping services excellent... More

Great place to stay when visiting the most underrated city in the UK. The hotel is very smart, the rooms are very spacious and well appointed. I ate lunch, dinner and breakfast at the hotel and all meals were very good. Although drinks were a little pricey, they were of very good quality.

The hotel is comfortable, very clean and the staff are extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Downside: over priced drinks in bar which was disappointing. Good for business travel and for anyone visiting the centre of Birmingham

This is the old Holliday Inn - refurbished & with a new frontage. An easy walk of Birmingham's main centres. The bed was huge - I needed a map to find my way to my wife! Very comfortable. A really huge selection of good food - either Continental or Full English.

Stayed for 1 night here in the club level room. Room design is ok but the view from the window faces a demolition site and it's ugly. Room size is decent and bed comfortable. No turn down service and operator and all the staff have not heard of the word "turn down service" before even. Shocking. Spent 5 mins explaining... More

Service was efficient and friendly, breakfast tasty. Gym facilities a little basic but functional, corridor lighting is a bit dim. Overall a good hotel, rooms pleasant, shower powerful. Hand location for station
