Very small twin room with tiny double bed and single bed! The mattress on the double bed was horrendous and obviously years old. The springs sticking up everywhere made it the worst nights sleep I've ever had :( on the plus side Melanie was a lovely host and the breakfast was fab!!!

I have stayed at this b&b on a number of occasions as it's within walking distance of one of my work locations - i am always made to feel very welcome by the staff for whom nothing is too much trouble - the rooms are adequate - food is good home cooking - free wifi is available throughout

I didn't book this venue for our Choir Christmas Meal, but had visited here many years ago. This visit was fabulous. Staff were extremely efficient and friendly, YES it is Christmas, but again, everything was just as you would hope for with an evening out with new friends at this time of year. Food was plentiful and well cooked. Personally,... More

My husband was booked into this hotel and got very lost getting there; he was on his motorbike, bucketing down with rain and his mobile battery was dead. When I called the hotel and he had not arrived I was concerned; however, when he did get there the lady on reception, having established who he was, immediately picked up the... More

Stayed for a week after moving back to Birmingham. Very friendly and comfortable, very reasonable. Obviously this isn't a luxury hotel, but it would give a taste of an English home, if you are visiting England for the first time. The surrounding area is lovely, convenient for station to Birmingham city centre and Cadbury world.

We arrived on a Sunday evening and were booked in for 3 nights. It has friendly staff, who were very obliging. We had room 6, which was a little cramped, with an extra bed in it and it was also blocking the fire exit. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. I found that the shower went hot then... More

What a wonderful little traditional B&B. The staff are all delightful and full of character as is the building itself. Rooms are of a decent standard for a building that is over 100 years old. A great breakfast selection is offered and was very nice. The location is great for a quick trip to Birmingham and brilliantly located for Cadbury... More

We stayed at this B&B principally as we were visiting Bournville and the Cadbury club and this was situated literally next door. We received a very warm welcome and were made to feel immediately at home. Theres a restaurant here during the week which we unfortunately were unable to sample, but theres also a bar/lounge area looking out onto the... More

We booked in for I night to attend a family wedding, we were greeted by the owner and made to feel really welcome. We were given room 6 and warned about the tread on the stairs due to them being from the old part of the farm house. We found our room was clean not large but contained a double... More

Who wouldn't like to stay next to a chocolate factory? Bournville is a revelation - leafy and quiet, with a large cricket ground and beautiful low-rise late Victorian housing (originally built out of town as a privately initiated social project) - the old people's sheltered almshouses are a gem, as are the delightfully varied name panels above the doors of...
