Four of us stayed here as had tickets for Lee Evans. Close enough to NIA to walk which was nice as along canal system We had a few drinks in the bar on the saturday afternoon and also when we got back from NIA. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms good and was impressed by the price as we booked in... More

Good reception and bar area. Below average bedrooms - awful pillows and duvets. One of the worst beds I've slept in in years - and I've stayed in some awful hotels due to work booking's. Brash nightclub next door which means they come into the hotel bar late on and are brash and loud. Car park is £12.50 for one... More

Before I get onto the breakfast, I'll talk about the actual hotel. The front of the hotel and the reception area is very extravagant (in a nice way) as is the lounge area. They have two snooker tables that are available to use, as well as a playstation 4 that fifa 15 was being played on. The rooms however were... More

10 of us stayed at the Penta on a trip to see the 20 20 finals day at Edgbaston and were very pleased with our stay. We arrived quite early in the morning and although there was no space in the car park we were directed to a nearby secure parking area. The hotel staff were happy to store our... More

I booked my stay at the Pentahotel many months ago, when it was still a Ramada Encore. The reviews were poor, but I went for it because I just wanted somewhere to crash for a few nights. When I arrived at the hotel, it was a revelation. Penta have transformed a run of the mill lodge-type hotel into something truly... More

Fantastic, friendly staff, great service and everything we were looking for for the evening we had planned. Loved that the bar was open 24 hours - always a plus! :-) we will definitely return. Thanks.

Hotel was in a great location and very reasonably priced. The bar and pentalounge were fabulous but the attention seemed to have been focused on those areas.the room seemed bland and lack lustre in comparison. Bed ridiculously uncomfortable and provision of one pillow doesn't bear mentioning. Our bathroom door was swollen and very water damaged. We stayed on a Saturday... More

We checked in a little early after managing to get one of the free parking bays at the rear of the hotel. We were booked into our room on the fifth floor and as we've stayed here previously we weren't shocked at how small the room was. You're only given one pillow each but we asked at reception for an...
